Too tired to do a particularly coherent post

There is nothing that is going to induce me to watch Scent of a Woman but I admire its dedication to ab perfection - Lee Dong Wook seems more devoted to angsting in the shower than anyone since the days of Kwon Sang Woo.

My current watching roster btw:

The Princess Man (my current obsession and in the running for best drama of the year), A Thousand Kisses (my happy kdrama), Warrior Baek Dong Soo (way behind though) for kdramas; Ikemen Desu Ne and Ouran High School Host Club (both wacky yet sweet) for jdramas; and Vigilantes in Masks and Relics of an Emissary for c/hkdramas (wuxia! hot people!).

On twdrama front - Material Queen is on hold because I am so behind I might as well watch it when it's done, I am waiting on more time to check out Love Keeps Going (though with Myung Wol done, I finally have space), I dropped Hayate because it was cute but I was not in the mood. I am waiting for KO 3an Guo subbing to be done so I can binge.

On other jdrama front, Tempest and Yamada Takayuki's drama both look good but I need to make space. I really want to check out hkdramas Ghetto Justice and Lives of Omission (I blame mookiehyun) but I plan to finish Relics first.

On kdrama front, I am not watching any more Family Honor until TPM is done because I like where I am and will binge on the remaining 23 eps once TPM is over - watching Park Shi Hoo in two different dramas at the time is confusing. I am not going to be checking out Poseidon because it look procedural-ish and that is not my thing, and I like Protect the Boss but do not have mad pash and eagerness so it's getting put on back-burner for now. Girl K joins the roster once there are subs and ditto for The Musical. Birdie Buddy is dropped because Invincible Lee Pyung Kang looks like it will remain the only golf drama I go for, Scent of a Woman is a no-no due to terminal illness. Gyebaek is waiting when a period drama slot opens up for me because I am already drowning in them. The rest didn't even register on my radar, so are out.

Did you get beyond Episode 1 of Birdie Buddy? I'm still stuck at that point, even though I'm determined to at least give it a try for a few more episodes - I'm in the same situation as you are with PSH except mine's with UEE, since I'm also watching her in Ojakgyo Brothers at the moment. At least with PSH you'll like him in both dramas; in Ojakgyo UEE's character is a pain while she's more loveable in Birdie Buddy. So damn confusing.

You have VIA for S2, right? You won't have long to wait for Girl K. Unfortunately the same doesn't apply for The Musical. :/

Nope, couldn't get past ep 1. It's not bad or anything, but it's not particularly compelling, either. I'd probably keep up if my slate was less crowded or if I was a devoted fan of any of the leads, but as it is...

Re: PSH, lol. Well, that's only sort of true. At first it was his character in FH was a sexy bstard and in TPM adorable sweetheart and by now where I am in both dramas, it's reversed :P

IS is too odd a topic for me, tbh, plus I am really picky about my high school dramas. I've heard really good things about ZG but I tend to mostly stay away from legal-related dramas so I probably won't get to it.

Yes, IS, is a bit odd, but its very interesting. However, I understand if you don't want to see.
But Zenkai girl, although Wakaba is a lawyer, the law thing has not much of interaction.

mmmmmm, lee dong wook. i haven't seen him since my girl. i'm pretty sure i'm giving scent a shot, but it might take a while for me to get there. i used to have no problem with leads dying but i've gotten a lot more sensitive. ;\ out of curiosity, ignore me if it's too personal, i know you've seen terminal illness shows before, like silence. is it a more recent thing?

girl k's subbed on viki, and for once it's something relevant that's not licensed in the uk; i can watch it in good quality on my ipad and i'll probably try it out tonight. ngl i'm really excited about this one!!! hurray for grittier, more risque kdramas.

Yeah, just like with you, I got a lot more sensitive over the topic (though, tbh, I skipped a middle chunk of Silence as was too depressing to exist).

I've seen and loved Silence, Snow Queen and Taiyou no Uta (the latter one very recently) but it's a combo of me getting more sensitive and a particular scenario - woman finding out she has cancer etc etc - not some exotic illness and not in a very very melo melodrama. Plus, that illness seems to be much more part of the story and point of the narrative than it was in other terminal illness dramas I've seen.

Oh, Tempest! It's the Nakama Yukie drama, which shouts Sungkyunkwan Scandal, right? I wanted to watch this for a while now. If you get to it before me, I'm looking forward to your opinion. :)

Princess's Man - dae bak! It's so complete! I watched the latest episode earlier today, and the two who moved me most are the current princess and her husband. Acting awards to those two. Especially Hong. When she said 제발, I bawled. At the rate it's going, it'll easily belong in my top 10.
