The problem with blackmail is that it's only effective while the target dreads more what you'll do if he doesn't comply than what he has to keep you happy. It's a delicate balance and In A (and by extension, the Chairman) is about the most inept blackmailer ever.
When she started, there were two things she was holding over Kang Woo's head - Myung Wol's career and his own. But then she cut off her nose to spite her face - she was so pissed off he was angsting outside MW's house (wtf did you think would happen? You blackmailed him into dating you, did you think he'd totally fall for you asap?) that she got Granddaddy to wreck MWs career and get her kicked out of showbiz.
Well, when she had both his and MW's careers as leverage, she probably could have kept blackmailing him, but just one of those is not enough. Especially since while KW is often narcissistic (in part as a reaction to his past), he's never been a bad person, and it would take a special person to be able to look at himself in the mirror every morning after throwing his love under the bus to protect his career.
Of course, that is only the tip of the iceberg, since MW isn't your usual aspiring starlet but a NK agent sent to seduce and marry him and then get him to defect (even if she's fallen for him and the plan is derailed). This is going to be interesting!

I mean, In Ah might be caught up in her feelings for Kang Woo and her need to get what she wants, but surely the Chairman ought to be able to think more coolly and realize his granddaughter would only end up unhappy with a man who was blackmailed into being with her? And he didn't even want Kang Woo as his grandson-in-law in the first place. I guess they both just can't endure losing to anyone, even when winning would bring them nothing but unhappiness.
