The Princess Man subs

Anyone know what is going on with subs for TPM???? Did viki drop it or something? Because there was no release this week, they haven't progressed beyond ep six and this week was ep 10. And darksmurf is waaaaaay behind and withs2 is considering doing it for via but who knows if they will. So as of now, viki is my sole hope, barring kbs world showing it with subs at some point. Argh argh it's just my luck to be obsessed with the one drama which nobody seems to want to sub.

So yeah, any idea what is going on with viki?

Hello, that is strange. I already watched TPM episodes 6, 7 and 8 with subs at viki, they are all 100% subbed. And episode 9 is alreayd 79% subbed.... something must have happen to the person who does the softsubs...

i think viki ran into some copy rights issues with kbs and they're trying to make it work. They'll prob have it back running since it's not the first time this has happened.
I guess we'll just have to wait for subs. Even though I'm a bit unhappy since the two dramas I want to watch most this summer are being subbed the slowest, both Princess' Man and Hana Kimi.
But I'm not one to rush people since I have a tendency of watching the raws even though I don't understand it, I just need the subs for better understanding of the story line. Oh well, classes start next week for me so I'll just continue watching the raws and try to find summaries somewhere.

I don't think the subbing is slow, at viki, the princess' man subs usualy are all finished on sartuday or sunday, so it takes 2 days for subbing each episode and I think it's pretty fast because it is only one korean subber traslating 90% of the episode. That person has work, so she/he sub when she can and I think she/he is pretty fast....

I can't speak for tomoxoxo, but I think she was referring to softsubs, not the streaming subs. most of viki seems to be qc-only lately, so most people watch their stuff via softsubs. I know they are delaying due to people stealing their subs, which is certainly their right to do - I mean, it's their stuff.

GRRR ~ I was wondering this too!! I'm getting so sick and tired of having to refresh the Soompi thread to check if they've been posted yet - especially since there are about a million spoilers for episodes 9 and 10 that I'm trying to avoid.

And yeah, they must be waiting on the soft-subber. It's insane that they only have like 2 people who actually do it. I remember I offered once when Can You Hear My Heart was airing, but they have some weird method they use, and you need to be a damn QC.

I sooooo miss the days Viki was underground. This legal-BS is crap.

TPM subs

Their subs were stolen by someone who didn't acknowledge their work and they're delaying the release of the softsubs until they can sort it out. From what I understand, the episodes are fulle subbed already but you can only watch them on Viki and only if you're a qualified contributor because it isn't licensed, even in the US.

The DS's subs are nearly 100% complete though. I think I'll start translating from them and tweak them later on when I get the subs from Viki (they're usually more accurate for TPM). If I wait, they might release 6-10 at the same time and it will be hell to translate all four episodes at once.

Viki has just released ep seven soft subs. Subs for ep eight are at 97Percent at darksmurf - I don't remember the exact URL but if you google darksmurf sub or similar nt, I am sure it will come up. Ep nine is at eighty five or so percent there,

I'm curious since you mentioned KBS World. I thought their program schedule is the same around the world. Do they have a diff sked in the US? I am in Asia and it's currently airing on KBS World. Ep5-6 this week.

Yes, it is. But I don't get KBSW, so I'd have to wait for rips.
