Dramas I am currently watching

Korea
Family Honor (20/54) - my new obsession, I am basically marathonning it in any free time I have. A family drama with a vast but interesting cast of characters, a romance with a ridiculously gorgeous and dysfunctional and angsty OTP, an interesting look at traditional customs. This is going on my all-time faves list if it keeps up.
Gyebaek (0/2) - a traditional war-filled sageuk with Lee Seo Jin, who was born for period dramas? Yessss. I am waiting for a few more eps to be subbed to start on this.
Gloria (rewatch - 43/50) - watching FH made me want to rewatch this as it is by the same writer. Still so very perfect with two OTPs which make me incoherent. This thing is 50 eps and I never forward once.
Heartstrings (11/13) - everything except for the OTP is forgettable and pointless as are its attempts at plot, but the OTP makes up for it all.
Myung Wol the Spy (7/10) - so wacky, so irresistible, so suprisingly sexy. I could watch it forever.
Protect the Boss (0/3) - I wasn't going to watch it but flisties' uniform raves and my love of Ji Sung prevailed.
The Princess' Man (6/6) - continues tragic, smart, romantic and stunning. My fave airing drama.
Warrior Baek Dong Soo (10/11) - some of the subplots don't interest me, but overall it's quick-paced, shounenish fun.
Japan
Ikemen Desu Ne (4/4) - so romantic, so cute. I love it more than the Korean original.
Ouran High School Host Club (2/3) - pure pure pure sunshine crack.
Tempest (0/1) - am about to start. Nakama Yukie in a period drama as a woman who cross-dresses as a eunuch and reaches power? Bring it on!
Taiwan
Hayate the Combat Butler (2/7) - so cute and funny and shippy and mangaish. It warms my cold cold cold heart :P
K.O. 3an Guo (34/40) - somehow manages to maintain its combo of heart and pure insanity. I am loving it so very much. I will probably do a binge on remaining eps shortly because it deserves my attention.
Love Keeps Going (0/8) - I was going to stay away but Mike He! Plus my flisties love it.
Material Queen (1/8) - I need more hours in the day, honest! Oh well, I will have plenty of eps to marathon.
Mainland China
The Holy Pearl (2/6) - live-action Inuyasha pretty much. I like it but want to wait for more subs to binge.
Vigilantes in Masks (11/18) - OBSESSION. Wuxia Robin Hood is pretty much made for me. I watch this one with Mr. Mousie and he has a crazy schedule thus behind.

Date: 2011-08-13 10:51 pm (UTC)I'm actually watching bits and pieces of My Princess now (never watched it when it aired) because it's all kittens and bunnies and rainbows and I can watch during dinner and not worry about being sucked in later.
Between Myung Wol and Protect the Boss I feel like I enjoy the recaps more and can always go back and selectively watch the cute/wacky bits.
I'm actually in the mood for a weekend drama oddly enough.
