The awesome Koala has posted that Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are dating. (Good for them - I happen to like both of them, though Yang Mi more :P)

However, my single-track mind mainly latched on the fact that she posted the teaser trailer for Ruyi, the upcoming period drama starring both of them. See below.

The story is set on a turn-of-the-century tea plantation, and Yang Mi plays a young peasant woman who, in reality, is the daughter of the owner and his wife. When she was born, the mother wanted a son, so she secretly traded Yang Mi for a peasant's son and told everyone, her husband included, that they had a boy. Boy in question grew up to be Hawick Lau's character and then he and Yang Mi fell in love and, I bet, awesomeness ensued.

I am confused. Is Tae Hee (Joo Won's character) adopted? Something the obnoxious youngest brother said in ep 11 about how mother always treated him better than her own sons and him being the neighbor's kid, made me think about what is going on.

Well, if he isn't related, it would explain why he's the only one in that family who actually has integrity, maturity and balls and who I don't want to strangle.

In other news, I ship TH and JE so freaking much! Their chemistry is insane.

I just love them, not just together, but individually, they are both pretty awesome - she is tough and optimistic and forthright and sunny and warm and and and - this is how you do a plucky, chirpy character, dramas! And he just has so much integrity, and that may be an old-fashioned thing to find sexy, but I do. I love the fact that he's so deeply decent - he is the only one in that family that always does the right thing, no matter what. The fact that he's dedicated to his work and good at it, and is a good son to boot, doesn't hurt.

I like Reporter Lady but (as of ep 12) she's being kinda insane.

OK, your one-night stand with Tae Bum made you preggers and you want to keep the baby.

Fair enough.

But hounding him to marry you is insane! The one-night stand was fully consensual and involved two adults, both of whom seem to have been too stupid to use protection. These people were not in a romantic relationship with each other either prior or after the one-night stand. TB isn't forcing Reporter Lady to have an abortion (though you can tell he'd love it) and, in fact, says if she's wants to keep the baby, he'll pay alimony.

That's all he has to do. To marry a random coworker because she's pregnant is pretty insane. I am sure this will work out if they get hitched because this is a kdrama, but in RL, talk about a recipe for an awful marriage.

So her acting like he's the biggest jerk because he doesn't want to get married, is insane. I understand Korea has a stigma attached to single mothers, but even with that, her demands are insane. He didn't rape you in an alley and he plans to support and acknowledge the child. That is all one is required to do by conscience.
