Homeland - 1.2

I wonder if it says something disturbing about me that the only character on this show I sympathize with is the maybe-terrorist. Or maybe it is because the agents make me want to kill things. Because I cannot say this often enough, but what the representatives of 'law and order' are doing on this show is so very illegal it sets my teeth on edge (no, this is NOT the way to get a warrant!). I half-want Brody to be a terrorist, and his first act to blow the agency up.

Also, I think everyone on this one could use a decade of therapy each. But every agent should only get it after a decade in jail.

Also also, by now I find Carrie an interesting character (and she's clearly not a well person) but I still think she's an appalling human being. Also brought up by robots. I confess I almost LOLed when she was all "the dude spent all day curled up in a corner. It can't be because he has PTSD, it must be a part of some evil terrorist plan." I mean, what plan? Communing with the walls which would psychically transmit messages to the bomb makers? Practicing his x-ray vision to steal government data? Secretly indicating his solidarity with the fearsome Walls Are White terrorist group? What? I have no idea if the man is a terrorist (more inclined to yes on that one, actually, if I had to pick) but I have yet to figure how sitting in a corner can be any evidence of the same.

ETA: Watched ep 3 and all I have to say is that the sex scenes in this show are enough to put one off sex for life. THERAPY!!!!!!!! SEEK IT!!!!!

I haven't been this obsessed with an American show since I discovered Sons of Anarchy last year. (I am not sure why I am so into violent shows about very screwed up people, but there it is).

SO GOOD!!!

I am so invested and intrigued and confused and I love it! I love how all the lines are blurred (by now I don't hate Carrie btw, just view her as very damaged, just like every character in this).

SO GOOD!!!!

I need more flisties to watch it so I can talk about it with people.

Hmmm, this has clips from some eps I haven't seen yet and there is Carrie/Brody kissing? !!!!! ????? If that is anything on-going, I think the crown for the most dysfunctional couple in TV history has been claimed. Between the two of them, they could keep a hospital full of therapists at work for a century and put them together and this will multiply a hundred-fold. Also, I know Carrie is loose on rules and procedures, but surely even she should realize it might not be a done thing to make out with the guy you are investigating for terrorism.

(Some guys look sexy with long hair - see sageuks. JGS is not one of them).

I don't even mind that the worst actress ever to exist, a.k.a. Yoona, is in this. I am going to watch this to see JGS look mmmm on-screen for the first time in years!

I am fangirl, hear me roar!

Also, am I the only one now wishing for a Japanese/Korean coproduction where he and Kame get to play brothers. Because the resemblance is uncanny.

(Btw, I apologize for the dearth of drama-related posts lately. Combo of crazy busy times and a bit of a drama slump, only recently overcome by Flower Boys Ramyun, is to blame).
