dangermousie: (Gloria - Dong Ah broken by timescout)
This is somewhat late, but as that very cliche of phrases goes, better late than never.

Some awesome things happen in ep 32 and also, since Creepy is still breathing, some not so awesome ones.

Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match - I am accepting icy but awesome illegitimate sons of chaebols, broke but loyal former gangsters, even goofy nightclub waiters and entertainers. Anyone but Creepy )

And we get two episodes this weekend, no more of that awful hiatus. Yay!

Some of you may recall that a few months ago, Park Shin Hye became one of a batch of Korean actors to cross over in twdrama (gu Hye Su is starring in Absolute Boyfriend and Choi Siwon i Skip Beat). The twdrama of her choice was a adapatation of a manga with the most spectacular name ever - Hayate the Combat Butler. Indeed.

The titular Hayate is a young man on the run from crippling debts his parents left him. He accidentally meets and saves a sheltered young heiress and she decides to make him her butler. However, due to multiple attempts to kidnap or otherwise harm her, due to her wealth, his job requires not so much pouring port and supervising the upstairs maids, and more of using his awesome martial arts skill to kick bad guys in the face.

I don't know about you, but to me it sounds insanely delightful. Or delightfully insane.

Bring it on, say I! I am a little surprised Taiwan is adapting this because it's a shounen manga and most of their adaptations seem to tend towards shoujo, but they have aged the heiress in question (in the manga she's 12), clearly for purposes of romance.

Anyway, as you can tell, first few stills are out and they look cute. Stills are courtesy of ockoala's blog. I like Park Shin Hye, even if I don't always like her drama choices (YAB - ouch. Though she made me like her dishrag of a character longer than I otherwise have) and I like George Hu (I've seen him in ToGetHer and Love at First Fight), plus the concept is something that really appeals to me. So I am quite excited for this.

Btw, yes, PSH will be dubbed. Dubbing doesn't bother me, but mmv.
