A few more Mary thoughts
Dec. 3rd, 2010 11:55 amFirst, you can find subbed ep 7 here.
Now that I watched ep 7 of MSOAN with subs, a few observations:
1. Oh, Joon, we were doing so well! I thought you will join the small ranks of secondary girls I like/who aren't batshit insane. But it was not to be. Listen, you and Mugyul have been broken up for a year and you dated for all of a month. You have got to be kidding me if you think you have any right to get pissed at him for being with Maeri. That's all sorts of insane! You barely had a relationship and haven't been together in forever so...are you insane? Yes, yes you are. (I would cut more slack if they had a long-term relationship, even if it would still be crazy, but you guys barely had a fling). You are entitled for no reason, go away.
2. Jung In freaks me out. Firstly, because he's going after a married woman, which is just gross and wrong. Secondly, because he shoved Maeri to the floor (!!!!!) during his fight with Mugyul and never even apologized even though she's sporting a bruise. Couple it with his issues, and you have possible future abuser in the making. Is he going to blacken her eyes regularly? Not too likely. Can he lash out at her at some point, physically? Possibly, very possibly, yes. Men who are OK with violence to women are not good mating bets. Suffice it to say, if it were me in Maeri's place, regardless of anything else, after that shoving incident, I wouldn't consider dating him if he was the most gorgeous and rich man in existence. I feel pretty sorry for JI who's been brought up by an insane and abusive creep, and I hope he finds his happiness somewhere, but he is absolutely the wrong match for Maeri.
3. Mugyul sees Maeri as family. And I love that when Joon says he always thought family was trouble, he responds that Maeri showed him how a family could be. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
