Drama viewing FYI

What I am watching or dropping has changed considerably from what I planned, so I thought a quick update is in order.

Dropped

Sunao Ni Narenakute - it's finished but so am I. I got through ep 3 before the tripe became too much - I have no idea what the writer was on, but it must have been strong.

Tsuki No Koibito - what a waste of my time! The only storyline I was interested in was Kimutaku's with LCL - I ffed through the rest as it was boring as rocks. Thankfully, LCL/Kimutaku are done so I can drop this drama.

Dong Yi - it's a good drama but a bit too slow for me after period cdramas. Plus, I prefer the epic war sageuks to court intrigue ones.

Road N. 1 - the first ep was horrifying. Unless flisties let me know that it gets better, this one stays lost. Better luck next time, SJS!

My Country Calls - I enjoyed it but am in the mood fot angst right now. I will probably pick it up shortly.

Coffee House - ditto. It was awesome but I want an angstfest.

Calling for love - ditto. I want angst!

Bad Guy - like Mawang, it's a drama that needs to be marathonned. But I foresee falling from grace soon and watching it as it airs anyway

Summer Desire - I am unhealthily obsessed with this. No idea why because it's so OTT but it's my kryptonite

Easy Fortune Happy Life - am on ep 3 and I really like it. I don't know why I am attached to it when I am not in a fluffy mood and it's fluff but I blame it on my hormones' reaction to Blue Lan. Plus, the trope of rich asshole woobie reformed by spunky poor girl is my fave ever.

Yankee-kun to Megane-chan - who'd have thought that of big jdramas this spring/summer, it would be this little one which would prove to be the best. I adored the first ep and now have time for more. YAAAAAY.

Young Warriors of the Yang Clan - I am watching it slowly but it's enjoyable, even if I am not rabid over it the way I was over LOCH or Myth.

Legend of Condor Heroes 2008 - I am on ep 33 and it's all sorts of awesome. I am ready for another marathon after a little break.

Comrades - I've heard it's much better than RN1 and I am in the mood for a war drama.

Kim Soo Ro - finally there are subs and I am checking this out TODAY. I see my new big obsession.

Men and Legends - once disc 2 gets here from netflix as for some reason it's the only one I do not have.

Infernal Lover - I am haunting the viikii page for more subs. It's unhealthy but I cannot help it.

And speaking of, I found another IL scene from the middle of the drama somewhere. How can it be so awesome? It's like all the drama cliches and things I want and don't get. Except here.

So here is my list.

After Xia Mo reveals the misunderstanding where she thought Ou Chen was the mastermind, turns out it was the butler that did it. Ou Chen also found out that he was the one that gave Shu Er false hope that she will get the CM so the more disappointed she is the more she will retaliate against Xia Mo hence the kidnapping, he suggested the press conference to An Hui Ni to ruin Xia Mo's reputation, and he was the one that allowed the media to continue reporting Xia Mo's background. The butler then admit that he doesn't like the kind of influence Xia Mo has over Ou Chen.

Ou Chen then asked him why he set him up as well. During the time he was unconscious after the car accident, his "parents" were fighting with the Ou family over money so he assumed it was because they wanted to leave him while he was in his coma. The "father" is a gambler and the "mother" has another lover, he felt that his family had already fallen apart and his "parents" don't love him at all. He told butler Shen to stop setting up all the pretenses, reminding the "parents" to send birthday gifts and write letters.

Ou Chen: "You don't have to do all this for me in the future. Kinship that requires begging for would only make me feel even more pathetic."

Butler Shen then reveals the truth that it's not because of Ou Chen that his "parents" don't love him, it's because they were hired by his grandfather to pretend to be his parents. His birth mother fell in love with a frivolous man and gave birth to Ou Chen, but she committed suicide. His grandfather and the butler wanted to give him a normal childhood, so they came up with the idea of hiring 2 people to act as his parents until he was 18.

He then shows Ou Chen a picture of his real mother, who also wore a green lace. The butler guessed that he had the idea of making that green lace for Xia Mo out of his subconscious memory of his birth mother.

Ou Chen: "This must be the most ridiculous thing on earth. Everyone of you lied to me just to give me that so-called normal happy life."
Shen: "We just didn't want you to grow up all alone."
Ou Chen: "Since I was young, I knew something wasn't right. I have everything and yet I still feel so empty. My entire life is nothing but a proposal you've written. There's no such thing as Mr. and Mrs. Ou, there isn't even a family!"

Dangermousie here: what were they going to do on his 18th bday? Tell him "surprise, these parents are fake, now cut the birthday cake, kid!" or what?



I think it's official, Ou Chen has his own male version of Mrs Danvers and honestly, if I were Xiamo, that would be my REAL sticking point to ever hooking up with him - I even look at OC crooked and I'd wake up with butler sawing my head off.

Also, I've gorged myself on spoiler clips and it's official. I can deal with OC/Xiamo outcome but nothing is going to shift me from being a Luo Xi/Xiamo shipper. Unless they let Luo Xi get together with Shen Qiang. Sorry, Huang Xiaoming fangirl here above all.
