Quick thoughts on first half of BOF 24.
Mar. 30th, 2009 02:17 pmAm in the middle of watching BOF 24. You know, even if it has a horrific screenplay, I am going to miss it when it ends - it might have been bad but it was addictive.
1. It's official - the writer has a shrine to Kim Hyun Joong in her bedroom and in addition to praying to it regularly and lighting candles in front of his image, she probably sends him her underwear every other day. Seriously. It's ridiculous - it's the next to last ep, people! If he got any more amazing, I would faint (from surprise there was any amazingness left for anyone else). ( Spoiler for one scene )
2. I really really love Lee Min Ho though, however many problems I have with Jun Pyo the character (seriously, I am almost far enough with JP to think that the only reason Jandi should hook up with him is lots of cash - JP completely lost me). When they allow him to actually do something, he is so good! When he was so cold with his mother? He was scary. And once again, I could weep for the wasted potential: he would have made such an amazing manga Domyouji because he has it all - looks, acting chops, and ability to be both mushy/funny and violent/scary. But instead he got stuck in a drama written by the President of "Wanting into KHJ's pants" club.
3. Clearly, the love story of this drama is between JP and Ji Hoo - JP was willing to die for JH (and almost did) which is more than he has ever done for Jandi :D
4. I adore Ga Eul so much and wish she was the heroine. Her scene with Yi Jung was so very spot on! She is open about liking him, and she did her level best to "fix" him when he went off the rails, but she is not a clingy crazy stalker. I love it when she tells him she knows how he feels about her (i.e. not interested) so she won't come around any more (because if you think about it, she did fix him so he doesn't need her help any more and to cling around would be pathetic) and walks off while Yi Jung stares speechlessly after her? I cheered. She can like someone, like them openly and without any fake modesty about that feeling in front of them. and yet maintain her self-respect and sense of self? She won't hang out in hope of crumbs. God, Ga Eul, why are you so awesome? I have no idea if Yi Jung is going to go after her (he looked rather shocked and stricken when she walked off - I bet he always thought he'd have her around. He can't take her for granted, hah! he has to be active now if he wants her) though if he has any sense he should because she's the best thing that ever happened to him, but I almost don't care because Ga Eul is so awesome, she doesn't need Yi Jung or anyone really - if YJ is stupid and lets her go, I bet she would find someone even better.
