have just started ep 1 and, surprisingly (because wacky is a major hit-or-miss for me), I like it. I don't know if I'll be OK with wacky for 16 eps, because in order to stick with a drama I need heart and emotional investment and I don't know if this will have it; but for now, it's entertaining.

Also, this is our first glimpse of Ji Sung:



WTF LOL. Is he supposed to be some sort of major hypochondriac or something?

Just coming in to say if you're looking for something Japanese and historical and cross dressing and Nakama Yukie then you should really watch Tempest. I finally got round to watching it (the first 4 eps are subbed) and it's amazing!

Everything's so beautiful and there's evil people aplenty and intrigue and a sort of love triangle and i'm already craving more.

I've been a silent lurker until now, enjoying all your recent Park Shi-hoo angsty posts, but now you've pulled out the big guns, I just couldn't stay silent. I just have to say that PTB is superbly written and has quite a lot of heart. If you're not totally in love by the end of episode two...well. Wait until the end of episode three or four, and I almost guarantee you'll be hooked. ^_^ PTB is definitely wacky, but it has a ton of heart and a really great cast of non-trope characters moving through a fast-paced and interesting storyline. I hope soon you'll be loving it (and all of Ji-heon's crazy antics) just as much as I do. ^_^

Well said! If it was pure wackiness without depth, there's no way it would've gained as many fans as it has. So although fun and crazy is nice, there needs to be that emotional connection to draw it all together!! By episode 3/4 I'm sure she'll be hooked like all the the rest of us... ^_^

yay, you're finally watching PtB! I have to say though, Ji Sung's wacky is completely palatable as opposed to Dokko Jin (whose brand of wackiness can be extreme most of the time). What I love about PtB? It's very lighthearted overall, with relatable, down-to-earth characters that poke fun at major drama themes/tropes. And with the storyline going pretty fast, I don't get bored at all. Also, major second-leads OTP (for me at least).

the drama says he has agoraphobia but it sounds/looks more like social anxiety to me or even GAD but hell i aint no doctor so who knows lol. I hope you continue to like it, I am loving the heck out of it and would enjoy more people on my flist blogging it. I do admit though that I enjoy wacky and romcoms and esp wacky romcoms lol.

I love PTB! It's wacky (just enough) but have a lot of room for aaaangst! I love the way the secretary is not jugmental with her weird boss.
The editing is weird, though...

But I wonder how is it that second or third generation chaebol are sooo damaged!!!!
