Just a heads up.

My next kdrama (once I take a break in my jdrama binge) is:

*ta-hum*

Snow White (otherwise known as Taste Sweet Love), a 2004 kdrama starring one of my all-time favorites Lee Wan (so awesome as a haunted mobster in 'Tree of Heaven' and here looking like Haru from Fruits Basket, yay!), Kim Jung Hwa and Yeon Jung Hoon

It sounds like a 'petless' Kimi Wa Petto in a bunch of ways, what with younger guy/older woman, apartment sharing, and wanting no what you should but what's in front of you all along.

Young-hee is a plain girl (don't worry, she transforms :D) who's had a crush on her best friend (male) for the longest time but he doesn't see her as a girl. Nobody does, much. In fact the most action she might have gotten in years is when she went to Japan and ended up in a misunderstanding with a younger guy. On coming home, the crush-friend asks her for a favor. His little brother is back from Japan and can she please please put him up?

Young-hee can't say no, can she? And the little brother? It's the young man from Japan! Sung-Woo is five years younger than Young-Hee, they didn't start on the best foot, and they are constantly in each other's way. Oh, and did I mention the 'ugly duckling' part and the whole 'she likes his older brother' part? Still, the slacker and the wallflowerjust might be perfect for each other.

It all sounds just like everything I like in my dramas, but who am I kidding? I am here for angsty Haru-looking Lee Wan.

I am starting Karei-Naru Ichizoku.

Brace me, someone.

What is KNI? Based on a novel by Yamazaki Toyoko and starring my favorite drama actor, Kimura Takuya, KNI deals with the rich, influentual and poisonous family famous in Kansai finaical circles. Set in the late 1960s, the story depicts the rivalty between Manpyo Daisuke (Kitaoji Kinya), a powerful banker, and his eldest son, Manpyo Teppei (Kimura Takuya), the executive managing director of a steel firm. For some reasons, Daisuke seem to dislike his own son and as Teppei seems to find out the reason for Daisuke's hatred, his whole life is turned upside down with fatal consequences.

I've heard amazing things about this one, and I adore Kimura Takuya, but I know the ending is supposed to be heart-breaking.
