Oh GOD. The woobies have SO MUCH heartbreak. Because she did think he cheated (and omg his face when he found out that is what she thought) and she tries to be 'compliant' because she feels guilty in her lack but he interprets it as her not even caring enough to be upset that he was with another woman. ARGH.

And OMG. He ends up going to a club and getting drunk as fast as he can and is just with his head in his hands on the table and he is sobbing her name and FUCK.

Seriously. And then he comes home in the morning and by that point she found out the truth but he is all shut off again and FUUUUUUUCK.

Seriously, would it have been better for her to have told him about the rape? I mean, would the consequences be worse? Especially if Danzi already killed the rapist. (And they wouldn't need to let him know Bao Ge was behind it all).

Also, honestly. It's awesome to rescue Mainland Girl's cousin in abstract, but it's going to get them in a lot of trouble and possibly killed and a total stranger ain't worth it.

P.S. I really like how Uncle Huai points out that not only Bao Ge is scum but the ultimate boss is too, and Ah Hao was foolish to get involved with them, and even more naive for talking about honor with them. And (I see foreshadowing here) adds that one of these days they'll sell him out. That's the problem, isn't it? Ah Hao isn't good enough for normal world, but too honest for the mob.

Am currently learning how to hardsub. Am a geek but it's exciting. Let's see if it works. I also need to figure out which format I need to convert avi files into in order to make them DVD compatible. Any tips? (because it gives me different formats for output files but I don't know which one is DVD compatible). (Though I guess I might just spring for a DVD player that plays avi files, but still, want to know).

In other news. Yup, still on The Outsiders.

The thing is Hong Do is spot on in telling her she should try to be open with Ah Hao (not about the rape of course) and talk about 'flowers and piano' like she used to. That way Ah Hao won't be looking for shadows of Yu Yen everywhere, he'd have the real thing. But I love the look on YY's face when Hong Do says that. How can she be that simple happy girl again? She can't, not after that night when Bao Ge ripped all her innocence from her.
