American movies/TV I am interested in

Yes, occasionally I watch things that are not dramas. There are two upcoming shows (both on ABC), one a period fun (Pan Am) and one a grim fairytale retelling (Once Upon a Time). Both are looking ridiculously good.

Oh, and there is a movie, coming out on 11/11/11, The Immortals, I am also dying to see. References to obscure parts of Greek mythology (even if they borrow from 10 different myths at once); Theseus, my favorite Greek hero ever; gorgeous visuals; battles; by people who made 300 which left me in a hormonal haze. What's not to love?

And, of course, Conan the Barbarian remakes. I love violent movies with shirtless hot guys wielding swords.

The Immortals is going to be GREAT. I don't care that it will probably contain no actual Greek mythology. But my fondest wish is that they throw in a kracken as well.

It really makes me sad that fantasy and sci-fi shows (and sci-fi westerns!) cannot survive on American tv. It makes me wish they had made this a mini series ala 10th Kingdom instead. But, we shall see. Stranger things have happened. (I didn't think LOST would last, despite my love for it. And, it lasted.)

I can't wait for Immortals. I love greek mythology but I adore even more Henry Cavill. I've known him for years and I find him so incredibly hot.

I'm eagerly awaiting "Once Upon a Time"!

Oh! There was a mini-series (8 episodes long) made by Hallmark in 2000 called "The 10th Kingdom" which mixes several fairy tales. Really great! (the second half of the series is the best)

The Conan trailer I also saw by Captain America first. Even my Mom is interested to check this out, so it's a total MUST! ^^
What I found interesting though, that I knew what remake this was from the first moment of the trailer, way before I saw the guy half naked. X3
