Two upcoming/recent kdramas I am not watching

Scent of a Woman - love Lee Dong Wook, can be OK with Kim Suna but there is no way I am touching a terminal cancer drama with a ten-foot pole. And when that it billed as a romcom, it makes me want to barf. Awww, how sweet, he hair is out! Awww, how funny, she's in excrutiating pain. I find it pretty distasteful as a topic approach, tbh.

Protect the Boss - wacky and I do not do well at all. When you add in the fact that the leading lady has a face that irritates me just in stills and that even without it, I am watching 4 airing kdramas, pass.

I think you should try out 'Scent of a Woman' or at least check out the recaps of ep 1&2 over on dramabeans.

The thing is, I have some family history of cancer so anything cancer-related is automatically a no. I am sure there is every chance it's an excellently made drama but the topic automatically makes it off the table for me.

Ditto to everything you said. There is no way I'm checking out this drama. There is some cancer history in my family and I don't understand how anyone could make a romcom about this subject. + No regrets for me because although I like LDW a lot, I can't stand KSA. I don't know why though. It's one one these unreasonable dislikes. I've tried a few of her dramas to see if I could get past it but had to give up. She's not for me.

Scent of a Woman is actually decent, giving the fact. It doesn't make fun of cancer, in fact the focus of the drama doesn't really seem to be the cancer part at all.

So far, I think she's a decent character.
