Is it wrong that I want flunkie to kill Undaddy before YS gets there - that way YS won't blow his cover, YS never learns about his father or target 5 etc etc. Just off the evil old guy already. Yeah, milk of human kindness, I do not have it.

Ooooh, that fight is spectacular! (For some reason I really love that YS wraps his knuckles into his coat). ONLY! Flunkie now knows he is City Hunter. Oh nooooooo! Also, if Undaddy doesn't feel at least some remorse and gratitude towards YS after this, he isn't human. But then, he probably isn't.

Yeah, great, flunkie connected him to Nana. Oh no!

Another oh no - his coworkers are puzzling how he knew how to throw Prosecutor. He is so close to being utterly exposed. I do love how Nana tries to cover for him.

Fuuuuuuucccccccccccccccckkkkkk! Creepy Flunkie is in Nana's house with a knife!!!! And takes her!!!!

YS, stop being by Undaddy's bedside and go to the rescue!

YS gets call from Nana's phone and won't pick it up! ARGH! it's not romantic emo, idiot, it's evil kidnapper who is about to kill her! Get iT!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, he gets it and Flunkie is all "so, your name is Yoon Sung." And tells him he has Nana and was so exhausted dragging her but he knew he couldn't kill her yet so he had to be patient. And he puts the phone to Nana who yells for him not to come, she is fine. Oh, darling Nana, don't you know there is nothing you could say that would keep him away?

I love how YS freezes and tells Flunkie, very coldly (but you can hear the undertone of panic in his voice) that if he touches Nana, he's dead.

Fuuuuck, is he going to throw her into the acquarium? And he tells YS 'before Nana dies, you have to see her face.' Argh. That is why you should never have left her along, darling noble idiot!.

So YS drives like a bat out of hell and yup, Nana is in the acquarium, head barely above water, tied up.

Is it wrong that I keep thinking during the tense scene that eeee, what should happen is that he should rescue her and then take her to his house to protect her, and then of course her clothes are wet so they need to be taken off, and she needs to be put into his bed because she must be on brink of collapse and then there should be clinging, "I am sorry"s and hot hot sex. I am deprived, drama!!!

OH FUUUUCK! he runs into the acquarium and finds her and screams her name and is so concentrated on her, he barely has time to turn when Flunkie shows up, holding an devise that is rigged to Nana, tells him that one push of a button and she will never breathe again and throws handcuffs down to YS

And YS puts them on, handcuffing his hands behind his back, without a second's hesitation, as if it is the most natural thing in the world, even though he knows this man will kill him, and make it slow and horrible, and he does it on the off-chance that this might increase Nana's chances to survive. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD, drama. That might be the most epic shippy thing I've seen in years.

And Flunkie starts beating him up, efficiently and brutally and then gets out a knife but YS, even handcuffed, manages to fight him off but Flunkie gets to devise faster and pushes the button and rope holding Nana above water is cut and she falls in and starts to drown and the horror horror horror on YS's face.

But YS somehow defeats the flunkie (pure rage and adrenaline, I bet), uncuffs himself but is forced to see Nana drown - thankfully he gets into the acquarium on time and fishes her out. Guy is going to need PTSD treatment for years. All his nightmares are coming true.

And he wants to take her to the hospital but she shoves his hand away and tells him "Don't touch me!" His face! My heart! Noooooo!

And she tells him he should have left her to die. My hopes of make-outs have gone up with smoke. I will be sending you my therapy bill, drama.

And then she asks him "do you know me this little? Just because you told me not to, did you think I wouldn't wait for you?" And tells him she is going to wait for him for the rest of her life and whatever the end is, they should face it together and she doesn't want him to be lonely any more. His face! Because being with her was the first time ever he was not lonely, that he had someone who loved him back and was a true equal and knew everything about him, dark and screwed-up and difficult parts included and loved him anyway.

Awww, he asks her to wait! "just for a little while, I can see the end now." Yes, she broke through his resolve and despair with her steadiness and gentleness and love. But then was that ever in doubt? YS cannot win against her. Not when he wants her so much, loves her even more, and needs her most of all. Oh, please please tell me she gave him hope again. Only that is even more cruel, dramatically, because little does he know the end involves the President, Nana's charge, and his father. And that hope was given to him only so it could be snatched in the cruelest manner. The writers are sadists!

ALSO WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY MAKE-OUTS I AM GOING TO CUT A BITCH!!!!!

Poor Nana, drinking a hot drink in her house all alone to warm up, but holding on to YS' promise. MAKEOUTS!!!! Don't you realize you should keep her close by you to protect her, idiot???

Awww, YS is saying to himself that he will definitely stay alive and come back to her. That is so going to hurt!

Good, he got flunkie tied up and hidden so the man won't reveal his identity or go after Nana.

Have to go somewhere now but can't wait to get back!

After you're done with your very busy drama load you should check out I Need Romance. It's a bit like Soulmate and Coffee Prince in the way that they handle relationships. Sex is actually a real thing that's discussed and the main characters' friendship is very charming. A bit more slice of life than shippy but entertaining nonetheless.

I got thwarted when I wanted to watch it in livestreaming (SBS wasn't working today in my layer. Grrr) so I downloaded the first release of the episode I could find and went straight to the aquarium scene. It's nice to know what they said thanks to your post. I understood there was something about waiting but not much more except that we wouldn't get a kiss any time soon.

I can't wait to watch the whole episode tomorrow. It's hard to believe there are only 2 episodes left. I think our chances for a bed scene or even a make out scene are pretty slim given all that needs to be dealt with in the last two hours but if YS and NN are bot alive and together at the end of the drama, all will be forgiven.

Yeah, chances for a bed scene or even a good kissing scene are close to none (which is actually unusual for a revenge/action drama - All In, Dog/Wolf, Swallow the Sun, IRIS, Athena all had them. Mawang was almost Victorian in its restraint but it was a wholly different beast). Boo. But yes, happy ending and all is forgiven.

I loved the restrained aspects of the romance in Mawang. It made everything so powerful and I couldn't see it playing out any other way. JJH's character was so very restrained himself. And yet the tension was palpable and almost always there.

Can I take a moment and rant? Romance has been pretty nonexistent this week. Even with the acquarium rescuing, we did not get to see CPR or clutching or kissing. Nada. WTF! I get that this is a revenge/action drama, but romance has been a hugely important part of it from the start and then it's like they turned the switch off. I've seen a bunch of revenge dramas do that (Swallow the Sun comes to mind and so does Lobbyist and Green Rose) but nothing as blatant as CH. It drives me nuts because to me, the relationship of Nana and YS is the soul of the series. They balanced the relationship and everything else so well earlier, what happened? And chances of my shippy time next week are slim to none because there is so much still to solve. Frankly, I am pissed off. Take a look at IRIS, show, to see how you can have a revenge drama and still stick plenty of romance through to the end (though don't get any ideas over IRIS' ending, OK?) Seriously, I am effing grumpy.

I could have SWORE they were going to at least hug/touch in relief of being alive, but NO! Cock blocked again. Damn it. Not cool... unacceptable... unbearable. I am a chick and I am turning blue...can't even imagine poor YS's state at this point. YJ is still on my nerves. You would think that the child that idolized YS/CH would show YJ that he doesn't need to go after him anymore. I find it funny at this point how even YJ is using guns on YS now cause they can't win in a fair fight. YS is just that bad ass...Nana needs to reward him (or *cough* me!)for posterity or something. I ain't saying they got to go to the movies holding hands an advertising, but dang it HE HAS A KEY! lol Ain't no shame in the game guys...use it. He owns it, she lives in it, and he needs it (*cough* I ain't saying I don't either).
I love these Drama's, but I cannot tell you how annoying this part of Drama's are. It doesn't have to be porn dang it...lol just some form of horndoggin' to show that they can't NOT touch each other. (sorry double negative comes out w/ the southern accent when agitated)Eye sex is one thing, but it can't replace physically showing the obsession for someone. This comes out when a near death experience happens...it is like a requisite for a couple.

It's as if all of a sudden the writers got prudish. They need to take a lesson from twdramas or even some other kdramas or even first half of their own drama.

When Nana says something like "He said he’d come back, he said he’d come back after it’s all over" when she is alone the apartment I had this terrible thought about how it's going to end with her crying over his body saying stuff like "but you promised...you promised you'd come back to me."

Oh God, I couldn't bare it. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. I am definitely not ready for the ending next week.

Considering that Nana just got kidnapped out of her house (whose security Yoon Sung has disparaged before) I was amazed he let her go home alone. On the other hand, he had Menacing Minion tied up in his trunk, so maybe he figured it was safe for her... But still, I needed him to take her home--his house or hers, I don't care--and hold her all night long.

I haven't written fanfiction in years, but dangit this drama is testing my resolve.

I know! I can see why that didn't happen - it was a huge enough step for him to admit what he did and if he took her home he'd never leave but just cling to her forever, which would be good for us but derail the plot, but dammit! Eps 17-18 had the smallest amount of shippy scenes since ep 1 (which was obviously shipper-scant). Argh!
