dangermousie: (KO 3an Guo: GY/DC love)

Just watched ep 37 of K.O. 3an Guo.

I thought we had an agreement, drama, about what can and cannot happen to the OTPs!!!!

RAAAAAAAAGE!

WHAT THE FRELL!!!! Diao Chan is NOT allowed to die! She's too kind and positive for it and it's going to destroy Guan Yu and they were so perfect and sane and wonderful together! I suppose that is why it's wrecked - they were too happy together and it's a frelling drama so arghargharghargh.

I mean, I like the poetic justice of it being DC of all people, the powerless DC, who ends Dong Zhuo once and for all BUT SHE IS NOT ALLOWED TO DIE.

Frell.

Yes, I am getting this worked out about a show in which people throw fireballs. I don't care. I also know that this is based on TK and everyone keels over in that one, and once again, do not care!!!!! This is a drama with people in human-sized chicken suits - it is not allowed to go all period cdrama on me!

Frell.

Also, while we are on-topic, when are the characters going to learn that the frelling potions never ever work? Either they don't kick in at all, or they have weird side-effects or unintended consequences. Just give up. I appreciate the awesome self-sacrificial intent of DC giving GY a potion to make him forget she ever existed but does anyone doubt it's not going to take? Honestly, cue GY remembering and having the dimension's most epic breakdown in 1, 2, 3...

No body no death no body no death. *clings to her denial*

I seriously need to start watching this series. It has a following waaayyyy larger than I would ever have expected; it must be doing something right.

It's very good. It's goofy and tongue-in-cheek but makes me love the characters anyway.

Long time no comment!! Glad to hear you're still keeping up on KO3. I think I was lucky in that I didn't need subs so I marathoned it all in one go. Well, maybe not one go since the amount of eps required rest breaks but pretty huge chunks so the cliffhangers weren't too bad for me.

I'm currently trying to watch Hayate the Combat Butler but I think KO3 ruined it for me so when I see George Hu trying to play his new character, I just see Guan Yu. It probably also doesn't help that Huang Zhong and Ma Chao are there too, lol.

But yeah KO3 is surprisingly really dramatic for something that started out as a parody. It sneaks up on you how much you start caring about them.

Yup, I am ridiculously invested.

I know, I spotted both of them and totally loled.
