This was so gorgeous, it was surreal. And while consciously he would never admit it because it would feel like betrayal of his dead wife, he's totally stricken by that sight of her. Look at the way he stares.
Yes, I am watching this at a glacial pace as I watch it with Mr. Mousie but that is good as it's still being subbed. And yes, I loved all the clever scheming in this ep and the way Gexiao can be kinda scary. But nothing appealed to my shippy heart as much as the above.

Date: 2011-07-16 08:29 pm (UTC)This series was really good for me as a shipper and also I love San Niang's character because she's pretty unique in that she's pretty aggressive for a female character in a period CDrama. I just love how she's still a tomboy even in the moments when she's more feminine. Still ROFLMAO at her biting him in punishment.

Also, icon!

Date: 2011-07-12 12:48 am (UTC)Uhm...the island subplot in that arc is basically my favorite thing that I've watched this year, I think. Not particularly for the shippiness (though how that plays out is a large part of it) but because the narrative tropes and San Niang's past are basically ripped directly from my Id.
