Holy F*** - ep 12 of City Hunter, first 15 mins

So, we have just found out Undaddy's real reason for kidnapping Yoon Sung as a baby and it is the sickest, most repugnant, selfish thing imaginable.



Because Undaddy was worried he'd let go of his, Undaddy's, revenge and grief and have a normal life eventually. But if he has his BFF's kid around, he will be reminded of his BFF's death and thus won't stop.

THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I literally screamed so loudly my neighbors are probably wondering whether a tiger has broken in.

That is beyond monstrous - he took a woman's (his BBF's wife!!!!) only child, which is one of the worst things you can do to anyone. He wrecked Yoon Sung's life - instead of growing normally with love and a future, he grew up in a drug camp with a psycho for a father, trained as an assassin from childhood, not allowed to love anyone or hope for a future. And he lied to him his mother abandoned him.

And it wasn't to help Undaddy to kill the bad guys or even as a perverse "I am giving him a gift in being able to hunt down his father's killers" - no it was purely 100% selfish. He didn't need to ruin YS to carry out his revenge.

Oh my God, I literally have tears of angry rage in my eyes. And then he has the gall to tell YS (YS has just found out - his face!) then this is the case because it is Yoon Sung's fate. THE FUCK!!!! It is not fate, it is what you, Undaddy, did. How dare you try to use 'fate' as an excuse?

I have things to say about other stuff - like the way YS is catatonic and keening over Nana's body, clutching her and looking as if he lost any reason and ability to react to outside surroundings (that is why she cannot die. If she dies, he will turn into a vengeance-driven monster himself and that will mean Undaddy wins). Or the scene at Sae Hee's and the tenderness in their faces, and the way they are connected through those tubes, his blood flowing into her veins, rescuing her right back, returning the life she almost gave up for him. And the way their bloody hands clutch and hold and the way they never take their eyes off each other even as she drifts into unconsciousness (I especially loved that he is lying beside her, but also beneath her and is looking up at her because he really does have her on a pedestal). And the way he tells Ahjusshi that he doesn't think he can live without her (I love how this drama surprises me constantly - any other drama would do the cliche thing of him pushing her away harder now to protect her but this made him realize the futility of denying his feelings so not here. Even though this scene terrified me with its seeming foreshadowing, because he first asks Ahjusshi if Ahjusshi thinks Nana can be happy without him and Ahjusshi says "everyone lives, they have to" or something to that effect, and then YS says his "can't live without her" line and I am terrified they are setting for YS to die and Nana to go on, missing him but going on with living like Ahjusshi said. Oh my God. Do not do that to me drama. I don't care how logical and brilliant and whatever it would be, I would not be able to take it.). Anyway, onto happier things - the way he carries her to his house, being both tender and teasing - his shields are pretty much gone.

But I cannot get over that scene with Undaddy. How horrifying. Oh, and Undaddy wants to off Nana bu I can't even get motivated to rage over that because I don't even have rage left.

Btw, it's official. Yoon Sung has possibly replaced Hyun Joon of IRIS as my favorite drama protagonist ever. Oh please please please don't end the way IRIS did. I will never be over that one.

I've been waiting for some on my flist to post about this episode, because I'm still downloading it. I'm so glad that Nana is still alive (she needs to stay that way for the rest of the drama) and that YS has taken down his shields.

Undaddy's reason is so selfish and evil. I hope he dies. No redemption. No YS (or his mom) forgiving him. Just dead. Everyone smiles and moves on.

Did you see the ending of this ep? Clearly Nana isn't reporting him to the cops or anything but he looks like hell kill her because he's pissed at YS!

I nearly shrieked when he was talking to YS' dead father and was all 'Ill avenge you and kill anyone who interferes even if it's YS.' Because your dead friend would love to know you killed his kid.

I have, I posted about it - the anger and the OMG-ness of it was just too much. I had to share. He's going to try and kill her because he's pissed at YS? That's healthy.

To me, this proves that Undaddy was in love with/obsessed with YS's dad.

Yes, I am pretty sure he was in love with YS' dad. He told YS he took him because he was dad's alterego or similar! Notice he didn't take anyone else's kid.

The back hug and the way he clung to her and she stroked his arm and he buried his face in her neck (why, yes, I rewatched parts of the ep multiple times). And I love that PD gave that scene the time and breath it needed, no quick cuts or music...

Oh, and did you see when he took care of her wound? And the bathing scene? Oh my God, the happiest and most adorable and wonderful thing...

that was so beautiful omg, and their height difference, made it so much better, he was just like a giant cuddle bear. for some reason i really love their height difference.

this kinda makes me wish to see an AU version oc city hunter, a romantic comedy version, so i can have more cuddly moments.

The rest of the episode is EVEN BETTER. I so so so love that CH didn't go the way of a million other dramas, ie. with Yoon Sung pushing Nana away until the last episode or similar, because it just doesn't make sense in this case. Nana was never going to give up on helping him (especially with the next target being Kim Jong Shik), and things are just better when they're together.

I loved in the last episode how Ahjussi blurted out to Nana, "Do you know how worried Yoon Sung gets whenever you're hurt?" I'm hoping it's only the start of Ahjussi spouting secrets about Yoon Sung's feelings for her to Nana. That would be deliciously awesome.

But this episode- it was just amazing. It wasn't as action/thriller-intense as the past couple of episodes have been, it's true, but I just loved the interactions between Yoon Sung and Nana the whole episode.

I finished the rest of the ep and this drama never lets up.

Ahjusshi is already spouting secrets in this ep too. Keep up the good work, dude :)

I love that he tried to tell her to stay away from danger but she wouldn't take no and became part of the team (he was so grateful even if he didn't admit it!) and they make such an awesome team. And their interactions show them happy and functional even with all the stress - they really need each other.

This is it. This episode just killed me. I haven't been this obsessed about a drama for a while.

Don't want to spoil it, but the cliffhanger at the end just made me pull my hair out.

Also, the drama is beautifully filmed, there are moments when are so beautiful. Oh, I keep thinking about the ending and my eyes start getting teary.

I pretty much screamed at the last part of this episode.
But seriously, this drama is just getting better and better with ever minute.
This one was definitely lighter but it's YS himself who is much lighter with NaNa by his side. Every time he's been around her not trying to push her away, he smiles.
Undaddy is past the point of no return. If the writers don't kill him off by the end, I'm going to call it the only dramatic flaw. I don't even care if it's a "He joins his comrades" type ending just finish him off so the world can have one less psycho to deal with and our OTP and Ahjumma and Ahjusshi can finally live happily ever after.
Ugh, YS and NaNa you two need to just get hitched already and have lots of kiddies for Ahjusshi to spoil!

This just goes to show that Undaddy has lost all reason and maybe even his soul... How can it be YS's destiny when he was the one who altered it!?.. I can't even describe how much I hate undaddy, everytime I see him makes me want to do some violence aaaahhhhh!!! I'm really going crazy...I have never been this much affected by any drama...the last scene was just....

On another note, NN and YS are just adorable when they are together... I don't want anything bad to happen to them...please dramagods make them happy in the end...I don't think I can take it if anything happens to YS, NN ahjusshi, and Omma...
