Best wuxia ship ever

Pardon me if this is a bit less metaish and coherent than usual but Mr Mousie and I celebrated my new job by going out and I had a yummy yummy and very strong and ery large drink so...



First, non-ship stiff. OK, that's officially a screwed-up family dynamic. And the worst father award goes to...

How do I love them? They are just so loving and supportive and sane and wonderful. I love it when he says he'd rather be sick than she was and she blows up at him because that would make her worry :) He's made her into a better person and she made him smarter and just - love. And she won't forgive anyone who misreats him - I love how she stands up for him when he won't, because he has a tendency to forgive everyone and to think the best of everyone, which is both a strength and a weakness. She is so tiny yet so fierce!














































But of course, clouds loom. Oh, poor woobies. You know when you talk like this, something horrible is going to happen, right? It's basically the law of dramas.





































































































Yup, all his teachers are dead, and her father's been framed for their murder, and with that, they are over. I love how it doesn't even occur to him to seek vendetta for their deaths against her, but of course they can't be together now when he wants to kill her father. Oh, how gorgeous is Hu Ge when he breaks?





















































And I love that she is heartbroken but she doesn't cling or gets mad - she understands. Oh, they are both so oddly mature, it kills me.

aww, this ship was slightly less awesome in the books >_< GJ really did resent HR for a while if only by association, and HR was left alone trying to unravel the murders by herself. exactly the same as ZWJ-ZM from HSDS. the perfect wuxia boyfriend is still YG for me, even if their love story is a noose-fest.

They are so awesome, functional and perfect together. Have you seen Ariel Lin and Hu Ge's other drama "The little fairy"? I really enjoyed them there too.

And if you do want to try TVB 1982 version, you can find it subbed on AM Addiction. :) I really recommend it, the story is a bit different there, so you may get a few surprises.
