My Dark Angel viewing continues, VM woe

dangermousieI've just realized that I'll be out of town next wednesday evening for Thanksgiving so will not be able to watch Verlonca/Logan heavy VM ep until Sunday. Woe.
I am continuing with my Dark Angel viewing. Boy, does that show love to bring on the eye-candy. I have major hots to Zack (the blond, UBER-HOT transgenic who led the break-out that resulted in Max being free). In fact, I like him so much, what with he tough military attitude, and the fact that he still looks out for all of his fellow kids (he might talk miltary "emotion is weak" all he likes, but what else is he doing, but protecting his "siblings" in any way he can, despite the cost to himself). I love the scene where Max and he rescued a fellow escapee Brin, but then have to return her or she dies and he is just crying. Love that scene. And he clearly has a thing for Max, and much as I love Max/Logan (OTP and all that), I can't help but think Max/Zack would have been cool as well, or at least it would have been cool if Zack found someone. And then of course, he turns himself in to save Max, because Max goes back into Seattle where he posters are plastered on every corner and where they escaped with great difficulty. And he gets taken back to Manticore (or not. He crashes the Chopper he was being taken back in, and Max says he always said he'd rather die than go back, but I have no idea if he is still alive) and I want to smack Max for going back. I know she did it to save Logan's life so I can't blame her but...argh!
Logan/Max continues to be absolutely lovely, bring the angst in buckets OTP. I love it when he finds out that he needs further surgery or he'll be quadriplegic but he won't tell her because he wants her to escape. And then he smuggles her and Zack out and Logan and Max just sit in a car and she rather desperately invites him to come on the run with her and he says he'll just slow her down and she says she won't mind. And then she leaves the car but comes back and kisses him (and I am yelling "finally" at the screen) and they kiss and then he just tells her to go and angst angst woe woe. And then you see him sitting in his apartment, kinda falling apart. And thenof course he collapses and he is in the hospital, dying, and Max feels something is wrong so she calls and finds out about the situation from Bodyguard and she rushes back in even though she knows she'll be caught. And then she gives him a transfusion (and I love how her head just lies on his chest. Mmmmmm) and they share that dream of dancing, and then the cops bust in and drag her away and all she wants to know is if the transfusion worked and she keeps asking it over and over and over. And then when she is released (because of Zack), first thing she does is go to Logan's bedside, and because they are Logan and Max, they do the typical 10 steps back and I want to smack them because...ummmm, you clearly love each other, as you were ready to give your life to keep the other safe, and you liked the kissing and you even shared a freaking dream, and also? Zack gave himself up for you, Maxie. At least don't let his sacrifice be wasted. Plus, better get it on now, next year you won't be able to touch!
