dangermousieFirst off, no more watching of Dark Angel before bed. I ended up having a very vivid nightmare about being in Seattle (normal one, not post-Apocalyptic) with my Mister, and then when he was away for a bit, I burgled or something just as an impulse, and next day, because I ran away, they convicted me in absentia 2-4 years in prison. I disappointed husband and my whole family that was being upset at me, and when I tried to withdraw cash from ATM to run away to Aruba (in my dream, there was no extradition treaty), I found out my accounts have been frozen. Also, my wanted mug was everywhere so I had to hide in alleys. I kept wishing I could go back in time or wake up but it wasn't happening and it was horrid. Logan from Veronica Mars was there somewhere too, giving me prison tips (!!!) And then I woke up utterly relieved. Let that be a lesson to me.
This said, I had fun watching DA, especially the part where EO traded himself in to terrorists so they'd let the hostage women (who included Max) go, even though he knew chances of his survival were slim. But then she saw them lead him in, and in a scifi version of Gifts of the Magi, stayed and saved his life via some really cool hooks and cables and they ended up in bed. But unfortunately, she had to run off and save the world. Heee.
Also, I am seeing Taj Mahal tonight, a Bolly movie whose pics I posted a while back. Hopefully it's fun, but at least it'll be pretty.
And reading W.S. Davis "Balthazar." Davis was a fairly popular historical fiction author at the turn of the century, and my book is from 1902 and has an inscription "To Cora, from Father" and a town in Illinois. I keep imagining Cora in one of those turn-of-century outfits, and her father in a three piece suit. I really want to know who they were...
As to the book itself? If you don't mind a certain dated style (and I love it), it's very good. Hey, anyone who can make me find Darius a dreamboat ain't half bad.
