dangermousie: (Young Warriors of the Yang Clan - Four)

You know, whenever the secondaries go on these insane rants as to how on earth can hero/heroine prefer OTP to them. For once, just for once, I wanted the ranted-at person to point out to them that it's because secondaries are psycho! And look what I got!

Oh. trust Six to nail it. I felt like clapping. You are inferior because you are a murdering psycho, the end.

Seriously, Pan Daughter - you picked about the worst Yang to fall for and try to manipulate seeing that Six is the smartest and the most analytical. No way could he really fall for your traps and lies. I think the only brother as bad a target for her tricks would have been Four because of his cynicism and street-smarts, though after she tried to kill Princess Chai in front on Six because she didn't realize Six was there, even the dimmest, most unworldly guy would have found it hard to swallow her protestations of innocence. Ooops, indeed.

In other news, I am drowning in period dramas. I am actively watching 10. 10!!! (Romantic Red Rouge, Four Women Conflict, Legend of Condor Heroes 2008 rewatch, Three Kingdoms, Chinese Paladin 3, The Holy Pearl, Jade Palace Lock Heart, Young Warriors, Warriors of the Yang Clan, Heaven Sword 2009) plus an ever-growing number prepped for short list. It's insane.

I need a break. So rec me a chirpy romcom set in modern times. Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, do not care. I need it badly.

I think you have to be in the right mood for it, though; I actually started watching it several months ago, but clearly it wasn't the right time for it because I watched the first 5-6 episodes and ended up putting it aside for the time being because I was bored.

Lately I've been desperate for a really good romance, and there's nothing currently airing/recent that has the kind of story/tropes that I'm looking for (I'm sick of girls falling for guys first and wanted the opposite!). Plus everything's too angsty, so the fluffy IRRLY is totally hitting the spot. :D

I think you're probably right because I did watch 15 mins of it and then forgot about it. Lol, but my first draw had been Lee Min Ki because I thought he was adorable in Dal Ja's so clearly I hadn't been watching it for the finer points.

It's back on my radar now, though. XD Save it for another rainy day, I guess.

YES Lee Min Ki ♥ He is so, so cute in IRRLY. He starts off a total jerk, actually, but he gets whipped into shape. And it's awesome because he's a presidential guard, so he's essentially in a suit for 70% of the drama and I... have a bit of a suit fetish. 8Dv He has great chemistry with Eugene, too. I watched the scene after the ending on Youtube, and I totally lolled at how how he kept grabbing Eugene and kissing her even after the scene's finished and got hit for it.

Randomly, I just saw your rec below and now it's inspired me to check out Himitsu no Hanazono again. I'd heard pretty contradictory reports on it, so I never gave it a second glance.

Awww, the urge is coming back, haha! And any girl who doesn't has a suit fetish is a girl I don't understand, LOL.

I checked out Himitsu because of a great pimp here. It hasn't really disappointed me so far as I've seen. XD
