I admit that most of Chinese Paladin 3 makes my brain leak out of my ears and I remain pretty indifferent to the main OTP. But the secondary OTP - ah, the secondary OTP is sheer perfection. Grown-up and angsty and forbidden and heroic and just ... aahhhhhhhh.

We finally got their back-story (well, half of it) when the elders opened Warrior Priest's cealed memories from past lives (yup, his and Snake Girl's lurve was so strong, he would have remembered it despite reincarnation) and - OMG!

But clearly, it's not a well-thought-out decision on his part :)




I love how forward she is (and hey, it's Wallace Huo, who can blame her!). So cute! They agree to meet in three years if they still feel the same (as a test whether it's a permanent love or infatuation).

And it would have all worked out just fine except for idiot priests!

If one of your disciples decided he wants to ditch and not become a priest but instead get married to a girl he's in love with, I have no problem with you preaching at him how love = illusion blah blah blah.

But if he still wants to ditch, let him go!!!!!! I don't think intercepting his and his OTP's letters and then lying to him she died is a proper way to get someone to join priesthood!

Oh, and when he finds out you lied and tells you he's leaving with the woman he loves, I don't think you are supposed to send out a posse to catch them and make "the witch pay for her crimes."

i love how direct and forward like you say she is. she doesnt play games and is so refreshing and steadfast. i mean, she waited 6 years for him! i get that he's destined for bigger things, leader of monks, immortality, etc, but dude, if he falls in love, he falls in love. it's his decision! have you gotten to the 2nd half of their back story yet?

looking at the snog, i was just reminded that in an interview with the man himself, he's apparently *known* for properly snogging his co-stars, i suppose instead of that limp excuse for a kiss that I would rather watch fish kissing than that! lol, and what i love about it? he refused to apologise for properly snogging them!

I am currently watching the second half of their backstory and mmmmm - love the dysfunction. It has to really really suck to be her. She waits for him for 100 yrs, missing him all the while, and then when she meets him, he's a priest again? Talk about bad luck! And he doesn't remember her. I kinda love their second half story even better because so yummy and screwed up.

Honestly, they are so gorgeous together.

Got to ep 8 before I had to stop but have been too busy lately with other things go any further. It's no masterpiece by any standard but a fun watch, it just sort of flows effortlessly. I kinda like it that I don't really have to engage my brain for a change, LOL!
