Duncan is strange and evil and needs to die. Well, leave Veronica alone. Bah and humbug.

Oh, and hi from California!

Hope you are having fun in CA! I am sure the weather is better than here!

Re: Duncan. I think maybe, if he wishes hard enough, he can become a real boy. Cause as for now, he's made of wood. Though I am finding him more interesting (if not more likeable) lately.

The toss up between Walk the Line and HP was a difficult one!

I am going to watch WtL most likely, just because the other 3 HP movies bugged me so much, I don't think I'll be trusting this one...

I am, admittedly, very worried. Which isn't stopping me from seeing it, but it is almost completely quelling my excitement. Although I'm trying to seem excited (feeling that if I FORCE myself to be, I might enjoy it more), but I'm too apprehensive to really feel it... *bites lip* We'll see how badly they butcher this one.

If you see WTL, I expect a full review! ;)

With Joaquin being all angsty? Trust me...

Which isn't stopping me from seeing it,

See, I spent 45 minutes ranting after PoA so it wasn't very enjoyable experience either for me or Mister. So why would I pay $$$ for this?

...I STILL rant about POA. But because I am a loyal fan, I will go anyway and the chips will fall where they may.

This is a little random, but did you like The Village ? I think Joaquin is splendid, even in his quietude, in that movie. It's a strange piece of film, but he and Bryce Dallas Howard were both good. I imagine he'll get an Oscar nod for WTL.

If ever there was a show that you MUST start at the beginning, it is Babylon 5. Please, I beg you, don't start with Season 2. However, that being said, it is so cool to see (despite all the production flaws and occasional wooden action - primarily Michael O'Hare who was battling some horrible personal problems (illness of his child) during first season), when you finish, and go back over the series, to see how even in the Very First Episode, there was foreshading for events that don't take place until Season 3.

I tried watching the first ep of S2 and I liked what I saw but I was hideously hideosly lost and was driving my husband crazy by asking him "who's that?" "what's that" "what does this mean?" every 2 seconds...

So yeah, I think I'll go back...

My brain stuttered to a halt right about where Logan had his briefs on. And it's been running rough ever since.

What?! Dark Angel's not about Logan's scruff?!!

Hmmmm, B5 S1 does have a lot of arc starting stuff but I think you could pick it up somehow. *cough*Lurkers Guide (http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/lurker.html)*cough* Plus Sheridan is way cooler than the wooden one.

ETA: I just read winterspel's comment. She is right as usual... Wait for the S1 so you can be all like "whoa, JMS is my Great Maker!"

One of the rare occasions I wished this show had been on HBO :P

What?! Dark Angel's not about Logan's scruff?!!

Well, I was trying to be understanding of others' points of view ("trying" being the operative word, of course).

Love the icon!
I'll definitely check out Lurkers' Guide!

ah the icon. *stares at it a bit more*

I cannot resist angsty!Logan. Plus his eyes prove the adage. Windows of the soul indeed.

I screamed at the tv last nite. And then proceeded to bounce off the walls asking the universe (my friend) "Is it Wed yet!?!?!?"

I know! When I saw how L/V-centric the preview was, as in "all L/V, all the time" I screamed! I want my L/V moments pronto. I am actually also spoiled so this makes me even more impatient...

I'm running spoiler lite (UPN opening scene only) so I don't know. All I know is JD said that the first 4 eps were just setup to the killer eps we're in the middle of. AhhhhH!

and Yes, I was screaming over the L/V stuff. But in the preview, doesn't it feel like someone's fantasy? Logan restrained....

Must not obsess. Must not explode before Wed.

Yeah, and I even know whose fantasy. mine mine mine mine mine

I am a complete spoiler whore, but even if I wasn't, the UPN opening scene would have killed me dead but in a good way.

Dammit, I missed most of Veronica Mars last night.

I'm seeing Harry Potter opening night. Oh, and my family saw P&P, and they all loved it. I stayed home, saying
"If it doesn't have Colin Firth in it, it obviously isn't worth my time".
"The photography was great!"
"Did the photoraphy have Colin Firth? No? Exactly."
"..."

Yes, my brain is dead. Why do you ask?

mmmmmmmmmmmmm Colin Firth.

Yeah, I'm totally not looking forward to this new P&P. Even tho I think Matthew McFayden is all kinds of hot on Spooks. I don't see him as Darcy. And Kiera Knightley? Buh?

BTW hilarious icon.

I'M going to see HP, but I picked Walk the Line for you, since I just don't think you'll enjoy HP as much as angsty Joaquin Phoenix.

Re: B5, I went from S2 onwards. I've never seen S1 and I can't say it bothered me. Sheridan totally pwns. Just look up a few character and race profiles on Google and then go for it :).

Can't give you any tips on new movies or Babylon 5, but the VM question is a toss up. There was Naked Logan, so I can't really focus on much else. And Logan and Veronica totally need to to do it right now. And Duncan is a cheating scumbag. But the threesome is probably the best option, because HOT, and maybe then Duncan would learn a thing or two instead of lying there like a dead fish. And also that when you have a hot girlfriend right there, you don't go fucking Kendall! Dullnut. :P

Date: 2005-11-18 04:29 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Yeah, but if we have a threesome, Dullnut would get lost. He can't even hold V's attention when L isn't there to take it away from him :P

From: [identity profile] cosmicviolet.livejournal.com
Yeah, but if we have a threesome, Dullnut would get lost.
Isn't that the point, though? :P I know I'd rather see a threesome that's mostly L/V (or maybe D/L, because I'm weird like that), than equally split.
