Cdramas will claim all my money
Mar. 1st, 2011 11:40 pmI have just discovered that Fan Bing Bing and Wallace Huo did a pre-modern drama together called Red Snow where they play a star-crossed OTP - she's a woman married against her will and he's a butler in that household for secret reasons.
The MV looks very pretty:
And there are subs.
I have just bought Four Women Conflict with Ady An and Feng Shao Feng and the Ady An/Peter Ho drama Legend of a Hero so can't afford to buy this for a while. I am going to be patient and see if I can find subs elsewhere.
This cdrama addiction is dangerous.
And speaking of Ady An, have opening credits from Four Women Conflict. Pretty and melo, no?
Yes, I know how this drama ends. Yes, I still bought it. Yes, I plan to binge.

Date: 2011-03-02 12:26 pm (UTC)I watch this Wallace/Fan Bing Bing cdrama and I liked her better with her husband. But I didn't like the latter part of the show and guess why.

Date: 2011-03-02 05:22 pm (UTC)Joking aside, I do try to buy the DVDs whenever I can (if they are subbed, of course) because the more I support them, the more they will make them.

Date: 2011-03-02 05:59 pm (UTC)But yeah, I like buying too...it just feels...more proper (am a victim of government brainwash)...it's stupid but I sometimes watch a series online and then buy the dvd if I really like it. LOL.
Have fun with the angst!
Oh man, tell us if it's really worthed the heartache. =(

Date: 2011-03-02 07:07 pm (UTC)I buy mine through yesasia - they are pricy but reliable and official and have a lot of subbed stuff which I need :)

Date: 2011-03-03 01:41 am (UTC)I generally have good experience with YesAsia too, but once I ordered a drama set and when it came I was pretty sure it wasn't original (but it's an older drama so who knows if there's a real, official DVD release at all---I suspect more recent dramas are ok).
However, it's really hard to tell what's original and what's not---I've bought Chinese DVDs and CDs that have some kind of shiny official seal, but once you've opened the packaging it's completely obvious that it's a pirated version. On the other hand, some official releases are so crappily produced that they look like fakes. :(
