I didn't really watch much of the Oscars last night but these were my favorite wins because I love Christian Bale however weird he is (and I really like his speech, it was so rambly and random and cool) and I have adored Colin Firth since I've watched Pride & Prejudice back in 1995, plus The King's Speech was amazing. Plus, best acceptance speech ever. I LOLed very hard.

Although I haven't seen Colin Firth in The King's Speech, I was rooting for him to win because 1) have heard nothing but praises about his performance and 2) I loved his acceptance speech at the Golden Globe and was looking forward to it at the Oscars because Colin Firth = so very witty + articulate + British accent + talented = WIN!

Thanks for posting these! I missed out on watching last night, but these were my two favorite wins as well. :] Colin's "speech" is simply brilliant!

Yay! I'm soo glad Colin Firth won! The King's Speech was such a great film. He was very compelling in it, and omg, he is awesome, I really felt for him during the movie.

BUT I cannot be objective about Colin Firth at all....

OMG! Was that Sandrea Bullock presenting him the award?!?!?!?!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH <3 random.

LOL...that must be the most entertaining and unique speech EVER. It'll stick with me for a long time....XD

I loved Colin Firth since Bridget Jones, and then, when I stumbled upon Pride and Prejudice (the drama, not the movie for goodness sake) and realised it was him in there, I went berserk.

Oh, my Colin Darcy Firth. His accent. His acting. His a-verything!

The King's Speech was really good. I had expected it to be a tad plain and unexciting, but was pleasently surprised by the wit between lines. I laughed so much! A deserving win!
