Still Young Warriors of the Yang Clan

dangermousieGrrr, argh argh argh! Anyone who messes with Seven really should die a gruesome death! In some ways, he's my favorite brother because he's really still such a kid and also because he's got the sweetest, kindest, most open personality of the bunch. I wonder if it comes from being the baby of a close and loving family for so long (there's rather a large age-difference between him and Eighth Sis, who I got the feeling was the make-up baby after Yangs thought Four got killed).
It's gotten so bad with my Minister Pan hatred that every time he opens his mouth, I start yelling "shut up shut up shut up" at the screen. WTF, you sick freak, with wanting Seven's head on a platter? If you freako son didn't go on a kidnapping/almost-raping kick and decide to challenge a freaking convalescent to a fight in order to turn him into a cripple in front of a girl who likes him, and also took a bunch of nasty nasty drugs which increased his strength but also had known and bad side-effects (and which you hand-fed to him), your idiot kid would still be walking, to the detriment of everyone in the city. Seven, who only rushed in to protect his brother, has nothing to do with your freak son's death. Stop demanding his head, and go drown yourself, while you are at it. And Emperor - wtf is with the whole "exile you to the border and not to contact your family for two years?" What part of "freak died because of drugs he took and after engaging in heninously inappropriate (and also illegal and immoral) conduct" part do you not understand?
Ugh, someone give me a bazooka so I can take out all the idiot court except for the Yangs and Eighth Prince.
To make self feel better
You know, the amount of times Four gets hurt in this drama, I can see why he fell for Lady Doc - the guy needs a medical practitioner around. Here he is after the arena fight. AWWWW. Love them.
And here she is feeding him medicine (and giving him sweets afterwards, LOL). You know, this couple spoils me with hurt/comfort. Mmmmm.
The proposal scene totally highlights why I love the both of them (separately and together). She's so matter-of-fact and emotionally honest and also sane and rational to deal with. And he's got unworthiness issues (among other issues) but he's also honest and emotionally forthright and just plain adorable. They just compliment each other perfectly - I don't think he'd be up for anyone with any capacity or desire for (intentional or un) headgames, and she needs someone who respects her capability and space but protects her when necessary and who's also to-the-point. (Four may be occasionally confused about what it is he really feels but whatever it is he thinks he feels, he expresses without hiding and as soon as he realizes he was wrong/felt differently/whatever, he expresses it too and corrects the previous impression).

Date: 2011-02-28 12:06 am (UTC)i can't possibly imagine a good ending in JPLH either, unless they time-travel 8 to our time too or something >_<. oh, and i'm not very far along, but i remember 14 being pretty significant (and a stud) in the whole battle for the throne as well, even more so than 8. i wonder if he'll ever show up.
and while i'm ranting, my dreaded endings list also includes Book & Sword in which i totally ship Li Yuanzhi & Yu Yutong.

I literally laughed at that. Yangs seem a lot more upright than some of the Kennedys though :P
Ugh, Pan family should all just diaf and emperor needs a brain transplant.
Re: JPLH. I can spoil you for the ending if you like. I believe 14 shows up and becomes love rival for Su Yan later. I want a drama just about him actually - he sound fascinating.
Re: Book and Sword. I thought LY and YY were an OTP and ended up together? Or did one of them die at the end or something? (I was reading the novel but got sidetracked and didn't finish).

Date: 2011-02-28 01:11 am (UTC)if QC's historical crush of that era is 4, then mine is 14. although... seeing as how he lost out, i don't want a drama on that either >_< the last one i watched had his name actually on the will, but 4 wiped out the "ten" so that 14th prince became 4th prince. oh, and in that version, 4's wife was also 14's sweetheart. 4 raped her in order to marry her in order to gain her father's support despite growing up as BFF with 14 (lots more psychotic, yeah?)

and something I want to watch.What is it called? If there are no subs, I probably won't watch the entire thing but I am certainly game for various bits.I am pretty intrigued by BBJX making Four the romantic lead (even though he's still supposed to be dark) because after JPLH all I can think of is "gtfo, psycho!" and even JPLH version sounds half-normal-person compared to the one you mentioned.
