I haven't been posting about it, but Mr Mousie and I have continued our watch of Sons of Anarchy and are most of the way through s2. This is such a good show. Definitely going on the list of my faves.

Also, I think something may be dislocated in my brain, but I find Clay very very hot. Hotter than Jax. He's old enough to be my father so that is weird but there it is...

I know Ron from my favorite tv series "Beauty and the Beast" and the "Hellboy" movies. He's a great actor, with such a wonderful, compelling voice. I'm glad he has such success now.

I've never seen B&tB but heard really good things about it.

Oh, I am so glad you like it - I have never thought SoA to be something you like!

I only like shmoopy shippy things in my Asian dramas - in my Western shows, I prefer gritty and smart. (btw, have you tried Boardwalk Empire? it's really good)

I think it's the way Clay so clearly dotes on Gemma that makes him attractive. But I'm definitely huge fan of all four of the main characters and Charlie Hunnam and Maggie Siff are so gorgeous together that I totally 'ship Jax and Tara (although I have attribute Tara's continued stay in Charming to Jax's Magic Penis or something because she's pretty well forced to recognize the collateral damage to spouses and hangers on and she, unlike Donna or Gemma or the other women could - and has - made a life for herself elsewhere.)

I don't feel too bad rooting for the bikers because if this really is based on "Hamlet" it's going to end with nearly everyone dead anyway!

I think with Tara, it's that she tried to get away but she still ended up with a violent psycho - I think she must be broken too - something in her is drawn to the violence and the lifestyle, despite her seeming incongruity in that environment.

How far along are you, btw? I am stuck in the beginning of s4 but really must catch up soon.

And once she and Jax killed Kohn, they were bound up together even more than before, I think, and she kept getting in deeper and deeper. On some level, I agreed with Jax's trying to push her away because she does have options that he doesn't, but then again, the opera-loving romantic in me is like "hey, everyone's going to die but they'll have a grand love before they do!" I really love the show; it's not the best-written thing I've seen but the characters are so compelling that I'll forgive a lot of improbable things!

I just finished season 3 (which I didn't think was as bad as everyone watching week by week seemed to think and in retrospect a lot of stuff just makes more sense knowing that Jax was double-crossing Stahl all along); maybe the fact that I marathoned the season in a week helped as well, because it really did seem like a matter of days, and the finale was AWESOME!

I will start season 4 either tonight or tomorrow.

I didn't think it was at all bad, either (even though fake Ireland stuff made me laugh). I think by this point I am just so interested in the characters, I'll follow them wherever.

Yeah, I feel the same way; I love the characters and I want to know what happens and I'm not expecting verisimilitude so I don't get annoyed when it's not there.

I did really like Paula Malcomson (Maureen) and James Cosmo (the priest) in Fake!Ireland (although I read that they actually did send a second unity to N. Ireland to do some filming there, so it wasn't ALL fake) - they were really good actors and Paula actually is from Belfast so she was the person with the actual authentic accent (which just made Jimmy's sound that much more stupid. Even though I like Titus Welliver, I cringed whenever he said "brudder" and such!)

Thanks for the info! I am glad they did that, because Jimmy sounded like when I try to do an Irish accent - i.e., very very bad.
