And OMG, how do I love it that when RI finds out her Dad died saving JW she has no intention of dumping JW and tells his witch of a mother (who thought it would be a nail in the coffin) that if her father saved his life, she has to protect that life forever. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Of course, the requisite 'break up for his own good' thing happens anyway - otherwise Momster really is taking everything away from him but that is so much more palatable and makes so much more sense than if she dumped him because of Daddy issues or because she didn't want him to remember the accident. (Though maybe that's just me - how about letting him pick his options? He is a grown-up - that's why I love Gloria, this never happens with main otp).
Plus, here it's a short-lived thing and not OTT.
Of course, the reason it is short lived is - holy hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I totally know what he's going to do. Side note - I know it's not suicide what he's planning on doing, not technically - giving his body to RI to live and swapping himself for her so he'd be the one in a permanent coma - but it's pretty damn similar and the way he was behaving with his Mom and Oska are totally "he's going to go off himself" signs and nobody picked up on that? A little psych ed would do kdrama characters a world of good.
Yup. He got her out of the hospital and drove with her through a storm in his convertible - just like in AY's dream. So they switched.
FUCK.
Of course - it doesn't have to be permanent, this isn't the last rain in Korean history (though I suppose as long as their bodies stay out of the rain they won't swap, and also this could have been the last time this was possible, who knows). But still - best case scenario they get is Ladyhawke which isn't frelling cheerful at all. GRRRRRRR. Fix it, writer, now!!!
