Of all the end-of-year awards Korean networks handed out (they aren't real awards, tbh, more like popularity contests and ways to stroke the egos of those taking part in successful dramas), no awards made me feel happier than those for my beloved Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Most likely because unlike other of my favorites which got awards (Giant, Secret Garden, Daemul, Chuno), SKKS was never a huge ratings hit. It was a pure mania drama. A smart, funny, heart-tugging one that was gorgeously shot. So hooray!

I know, that's why I'm always amused when people post comments like "___ should win, he/she's totally better than ___!!" Umm, ever heard of ratings? (though Moon Geun Young won the Daesang in 2008 for POTW even though there were other higher rated shows.)

I have been on a DBSK high since finishing SKK Scandal (FINALLY!!!) Yoochun soo does it for me hahaha
I read through all your SKK posts after each episode...I have such a backlog of dramas to catch up on!

I actually watched the KBS awards just to see Yoochun sing...LOL omg I must've squealed when he came on stage...ahahahaha SIGH

I know, it makes me so happy
