Gloria has given me a rather unhealthy fixation on Lee Chun Hee. Take that, add my effort of trying to refrain from watching eps 33-34 until subs for 35-36 are also out, and sprinkle in my youtube obsession and you get this.

"This" being a MV for some emo kpop song starring LCH. If you ever wanted to see Thugboy in emo scarves sobbing over a woman, this one is for you. (If you want to see scarveless Thugboy sobbing over a woman, just tune in to Gloria).

My crush is so severe I am even tempted by Smile You, a.k.a. previously known as the kdrama Mousie is least likely to touch even if every other entertainment option in the world was on fire. A 50 ep family drama starring The Nemesis, i.e. Lee Min Jung, my least favorite drama actress ever (how badly do I dislike her? Suffice it to say I am probably skipping Midas because she costars and that stars my supreme obsession Jang Hyuk). Well - let me modify this. Not even for LCH will I suffer through that. Not even if he got naked and covered in chocolate. At the same time. Maybe then. The only reason I am even considering this is because he apparently has his own story and OTP. So, kind flisties - can anyone point me towards a direction of a SY guide which would tell me which eps to watch for best LCH action? I made one for East of Eden, for those who only wanted shippiness without sitting through almost 60 eps, so I wonder if that sort of thing exists for SY.

Btw, rewatched Mary ep 11 for recapping purposes, and yup, its awesomesauce. As craptastic as ep10 was, is how awesome ep11 is. Just the weirdest whiplash going on. Anyways, nothing is gross with the living arrangement, it really is JI helping out MR, but maybe hoping that she will grow to love him. But it's all out in the open - he's frank about his motives, and she's equally frank that she's also doing it to help him, and she'll never transfer her affections.

Strangely mature and reasonable actually. Considering the mindfuck the original writer left at the end of ep10.

Thanks for the Gloria goodness. I'm still more enamore of KS-JJ. Which, if you ask me, JI is actually KS, too bad MR is not his JJ.

Thanks for the heads up! Waiting for subs is going to be torture. I am glad they swapped the writers then.

JI is the same type as KS but as KS is the main character and in a much longer and better-written drama, I find KS a lot more interesting. JI has the potential to be interesting but at least the first 9 eps never got there, with me.

It's funny, I started out DA/YS obsessed, then switched to KS/JJ, but now am back on DA/YS >>>> everything bandwagon. I go where the angst is :)

I did really love Smile, You, but even without Lee Min Jung, I can't really see you enjoying the drama because the main lead is such a beta male. And a lot of the characters' choices would make you rage, I bet. I wish I could point you in the direction of a guide, but since most of the plotlines cross with each other, I'm not sure how you'll be able to keep the beta males, psycho moms & LMJ off your screen.

That said, Lee Chun Hee is wonderful. He's a big, dumb ox, with a dash of WTF-crazy. He does have his own romance that was quite sweet, with a little bit of angst thrown in. But it is a shame that that you can't stand Lee Min Jung, because some of his sweetest scenes are him being the big brother.

I know you can't. That's why I warned you. The thought occurs to me that Dramabeans recapped most of the series. You could probably skim the recaps for LCH-only scenes. And see pretty pictures of scenes you would otherwise have to skip. I checked and he shows up at the end of Episode 5, so you don't have to bother with the earlier episodes. The only problem is that the recaps don't go all the way to the end.

I loved him in Smile, You - he was such a dork, but also really awesome in a strange way. Plus, his romance with the soft-spoken, orphaned, ex-street thug was super sweet. I think his character appears in episode 8 or so. I watched solely for him and his OTP and more or less FF through all the scenes that one or both of them weren't in.
