I am in the mood for one, so help me pick.

Spirit of the Sword:

Laughing in the Wind 2001

Lotus Lantern:

Tearful Sword (at least I think that's the MV for it).

Seven Swordsmen:

Chinese Paladin 3 (my current choice - I liked the first ep). See my trying to be unbiased by posting a non-Hu Ge mv :)

Dragon Love:

Sword Stained with Royal Blood 2007 (my second choice because meganbmoore liked it)

A Step Into the Past - not able to find any mv

fff these all look awesome. I totally forgot about the Lotus Lantern prequel... I'd vote for that one, but that's because I speed-watched the 2005 Lotus Lantern (which I guess is like the sequel to the one you've linked here, except it was released first -- think Star Wars) and I really liked Er Lang Shen, who is the main character in the prequel. Also I have a soft spot for Vincent Jiao... but he's also in Tearful Sword and a few episodes of Sword Stained With Royal Blood, so... TOO MANY GOOD CHOICES. :D

But I think if you liked the first ep of CP3, then stick with that one. :) But thank you for reminding me of Lotus Lantern... I have to make a note to remember to watch that one. ;)

Oooh, I like Vincent Jiao too. What's the name of the Lotus Lantern sequel - also LL? Because I am off to look for that one.

I am also on ep2 of CP3 and it has zombies. How can you go wrong with zombies?

Yep, the sequel is also called "Lotus Lantern" -- "Bao Lian Deng" in Chinese. The one you have up there is actually "Lotus Lantern Prequel/Prelude" or "Bao Lian Deng Qian Zhuan." There's supposed to be a third part to it called "Lotus Lantern Sequel," or "Bao Lian Hou Zhuan," but I don't think a release date has been announced yet.

Hehe, many things can go wrong with zombies, but storylines? Never. ;D

Erh, CP3 is not wuxia, it's fantasy, but I would vote for either Sword Stained with Royal Blood or State of Divinity - State is the best story hands down amongst all of Louis Cha's novels, but this adaptation was rather meta and spacy - it wasn't terribly linear so you might get confused, and the love story(s) were changed a bit in the emotional how much did so and so love the other person way.

I'll try with both then.

See A Step Into the Past!

I second this! But the romance might not completely be your thing and I think it drags a little in the middle.
Here's a mv, it pretty much just shows what happens at the start.

That looks pretty interesting.

I don't mind draggy middle - that's what ff button is for.

a third recommendation. I've not watched most of your other choices but I watched A Step into the Past despite having given up on TVB dramas a loooong time before it aired (it gets boring when you can guess whats going to happen before it happens)

Plus, I love the Jessica Hsuan-Louis Koo combo. Think they have great chemistry!

I kinda vote Tearful Sword, Dragon Love, and Spirit of the Sword, because I haven't heard much of anything on them. SSWRB is my actual REC though. Seven Swordsmen I should rewatch, because it relies heavily on some wuxia themes I wasn't familiar with when I watched, and I suspect my opinion on parts would be different now.

I intend to check out all of them (SSWRB because you recced it and because it looked good, tearful Sword because I like Vincent Jiao and the story sounds fun, SotS because I will basically watch anything Nic Tse is in). I am more hesitant about Dragon Love just because it seems so odd.

drama

a website which has 20 eps of a 1999 drama with that name for DL disagrees. not sure if it has the same name in Chinese though - it has the following synopsis on that site:

This is a beautiful love story. A story of devotion and faith, lost but hope, bitter yet sweet.
During the time when the realm of dragons still intersects with the realm of mortals, the feud between humans and dragons have long existed. Both kinds deny each other's existence as well as the crucial link between them. Dragons make rain which brings life to everything. Human worships the dragons, giving them more power.
Some humans accept the good deeds made by the legendary god-like creatures, dragons, which seem to be intimidating, yet they bring good harvests to farmers. So those humans enjoy their daily life during this period of peace and become tolerant to the from-time-to-time appearance of dragons. Yet, there are some who are too stubborn and yearn for power. They are warriors of the past who used to earn their honnors, status, wealth through the glorious feat of arms they made during the time of wars. Now, their talent is of no use. No killing means no award for them. Thus, they seek for wars themselves. If mortals will not raise wars, then they will challenge the immortals. There begins the love story between a gentle human and a kind-hearted dragon, which is forbidded not only by mortals, but also by the gods. Through many trials and hardships, what will become of them? What is the crucial key of all the matters ? Will this feud ever be quelled? or Will it last forever?

Sorry for butting in, but do you mean this drama?
http://www.spcnet.tv/TVB-Series/Dragon-Love-p109.html

Because the video above is fanmade, it has Raymond Lam and Michelle Yip as the main characters and the only dramas they starred in together were Lofty Water Verdant Bow and Eternal Happiness (a highly recommended crossdressing drama).

Yup, that's the drama I meant. I couldn't figure out from the vid if it was the same or not. Thank you :)

(Ooooh, I have Lofty Waters).
