My darling ship - eps 15/16 best scenes
Oct. 26th, 2010 11:52 amYes, I realize everyone is (rightly) spazzing over eps 17/18 of Sungkyunkwan Scandal, but I am waiting for subs and, meanwhile, want to post some gorgeous caps of gorgeous scenes of my OTP, Sun Joon/Yoon Hee.

The last scene in ep 15, when Sun Joon, the dignified, calm SJ, runs to Yoon Hee and hugs her. And tells her he can't stay away from 'him' so 'he' has to do it. And she tells him she didn't yet give him her answer. Awwwww. (Side note - I love the costuming here. SJ always wears really nice, patterned clothes because he's quite rich, and YH's are always plain because she's poor).

And then she runs towards him but falls in and he dives to fish her out.

Is it hot here or is it just me? (Because they wear indentical type of clothes, it really emphasizes how tiny she is compared to him - his shoulders are soooo broad when compared to her tiny figure. MMMMMM).

Sun Joon, you are about to be made very happy by your discovery. Yes, those are breasts. Pobably the first you've ever seen (and if Yoon Hee has her way, the last, too).

Yoon Hee comes to, only to discover Sun Joon has found her secret (but weren't you about to tell him anyway? But I suppose it's different when done on your terms).Lucky Poor Sun Joon is still in shock.

Before YH has a chance to arrange her clothes, they hear a group of drunken scholars. Oh no, shall YH be discovered?

Thankfully, SJ has a presence of mind to drag her off to hide. Oh, this is so gorgeous and such a mirror of ep 1 scene only now they are aware of each other on a wholly different level.

And then they are locked in a room together by SJ's servant. Awkward :) SJ is trying to maintain his cool and is all "I am going to read." Bwahahahaha.

So YH decides she will read too and what does she discover but SJ's pr0n courtesy of Yong Ha. LOLOL

Sun Joon is all "not that I am curious, at all, not at all, honest, but scholars need to know the truth, what were you going to tell me at the waterbank?" Oh, darling, you are so transparent. *squishes*

But YH is all "LOL, I see the kinds of books you read, no wonder you are so attentive to your reading" and LOLOLOL at Sun Joon's consternation (and his basically telling YH he got it because of her. LOLOLOL I hope they experiment together and make annotations in the book - purely for research purposes, of course).

And then they wrestle for the book. Mmmmm.

How much do I love the sequence? I love everything about it - that he gave her all the blankets and is sleeping on the floor, that she covers him, that she teases him about his propensity to colds (when he is all "you are a girl and fell into water, you should be the one with the blanket"), that she makes a human burrito, that he laughs like that - like a little kid, that she tells him her real name, that he calls her beautiful in a matter-of-fact way (when he asks her how long she concealed her beautiful self in the garb of a man), that she tells her hard-luck fate in a matter-of-fact way, everything.

I love both that he wants her to quit SKKS (how typical of SJ - it would be weird for him to not mention it at all) and that his reasons aren't "OMG, woman in the sacred halls" (he changed so much) but worry over danger to her. And I love even more that she refuses to quit, telling him he is the one who made her dream big.

Sleeping arrangements of adorableness. And I love that he once again asks her what she meant to tell him at the creek, saying that "if you don't remember, it's OK, but in case it's important" (oh darling!) and she pretends to be asleep.

YH did a deal with SJ, the way she did with Prof. Jung much earlier - if she wins the royal exam first place, she gets to stay. But SJ wins. Only - he tells her she has every right to stay because's she'd cause even more trouble outside. Awwww, darling! I know I keep overusing the word, but he is darling, so too bad. And she gets ready to leave the library and he is "but what were you going to tell me at the creek?" (poor guy) and she is all "must I really say it?" and his response is, of course, otherwise how will he know? And then he starts saying "I am about to die of frust..." and she interrupts and takes initiative. Go, go go go go Yoon Heeeeeeee!!!!

In conclusion, have some pretty Jae Shin.

I seriously was in a roller coaster of emotions for this pair of episodes.
15 and 16, I love it all =)

Date: 2010-10-26 06:03 pm (UTC)and yes, sun joon is a TOTAL DARLING, i can't help smiling (read: spazzing) every time he brings up the "what you wanted to tell me at the creek" thing.

lumberjacks in space
Date: 2010-10-26 09:07 pm (UTC)uptight and sheltered, with a creamy righteous center and a magically delicious coating of SEXUAL FRUSTRATION, JOSEON STYLE!, he's fast becoming one of my most favoritestest characters EVER.
for someone so stoic, mickey-poo's (redonkulously pretty) face-thing is marvelously expressive --case in point? WHEN HE FINDS THE BOOBIES. the progression from SHOCK&HORROR to dumbstruck to [Does Not Compute] is just so...satisfying. and well-done. NUANCES FTW.
...i forgot what i originally came here to post. something along the lines of fangirling this episode into eternity, i think; i watched this ep FOUR TIMES IN A ROW and i'm eighty-seven percent sure that's not healthy behavior.
but srsly. even if it's done in an eloquent, understated manner, this show's so charged, the sex-vibes are exploding off the screen --i swear to all that is jae-shin-y and good, if i don't get AT LEAST one steamy-sexy make-out scene, I'M going to die of frustra--

I do love Sun Joon so - he is such an unusual drama lead (Jae Shin would be much more typical). I love that he wins with his brain and that he really lives up to his awfully lofty principles and I love that he is so raw and inexperienced and vulnerable when it comes to love. And I agree about the sexual frustration - you can totally feel it. I hope they get a really hot makeout at least. Come on, the book was really steamy, the least the drama can give us is one teeny tiny makeout.

Exactly! Exactly. Love love love.
HE IS SO CUTE with the whole 'what were you saying back then at the creek' bit. And her evading it everytime lol. And when he rambles on and on about why he thinks it's better for her to stay in SKK after all, she's like "so in a convoluted way, you're saying I'm staying?' lol I love how she can call him out on his nerdiness like that HAHA
I absolutely loved the Jaeshin-Sunjoon bickering. Kyaaa. Replayed that scene so many times xDD

Date: 2010-10-27 03:34 am (UTC)AHHHHH how could i FORGET about the JS-SJ butt-bumping scene?!
and the ensuing SJ eye-(sexing)prompting at YH when she stumbles onto the Battle Ground, all wide-eyed and innocent-like...hoh man.
thirty-seven levels of hottttt.
