Date: 2010-10-18 06:42 pm (UTC)That leaves Daemul as my one and only obsession. Weeee!
Hope you feel better soon, Mousie. FWIW, KSW shares your pain, and so does GHJ. (Both of them struggling with a cold after filming in the rain last week.)

Date: 2010-10-18 06:46 pm (UTC)One ep of FoD was more than enough for me. I like my makjang thrown in a little, to add a bit of spice. FoD is like eating a whole bowl of ghost chillies straight.
Eps 2 and 3 of Daemul for me later today (is it weird that I am hoarding?)

Date: 2010-10-18 06:53 pm (UTC)Not at all, I'd inhale DM if I could, DoYa included. I'm also spoiled for ep. 6 and need this week's eps. to happen right now.

Date: 2010-10-19 07:09 am (UTC)Ep 16 (I think) and the last two are missing and it's .ass, not .srt, but it works perfectly with the VLC-Player.
From the comments it seems that they don't synch all the time with the posted raws, so since the subs are han, I downloaded the han-files from am-addiction

Viikii sadly doesn't work for me at all, even with hotspotshield

Date: 2010-10-19 07:43 am (UTC)Have you tried SuperHideIP? It worked with Viikii, last time I checked. I think HotSpotShield needs an update, because it doesn't work with either Crunchyroll or Viikii anymore.

Hm, this doesn't work for me. No idea why, since it gives me a US ip, but well... thanks anyway. ;)

Date: 2010-10-18 09:51 pm (UTC)And having seen the first three episodes, I have to say that I agree with your comment about it being soulless. There is no emotional connection with any of the characters (well, maybe the hot cop and the lady cop OTP) and I haven't really even bothered to learn their character names. To me, the main chracters are Rain, Jini (the woman giving him the job), Yummy General (the friend who died played by the guy from Chuno), hot cop, cop lady, etc :D...
I can't deny the eyecandy, but the plot is still seriously lacking :P.
Unrelated, you really need to catch up with JXF! So good! Though not that much romance there.

Date: 2010-10-19 02:35 am (UTC)I've been struggling through the first ep of Fugitive since yesterday, so technically I'm "watching." It's just not striking the right tone with me though, even though I generally love dumb Hollywood action movies. I think it'd help if they'd settle down in ONE COUNTRY just so we can slowly be introduced to the characters and work out what they're doing, but they're just country hopping at the moment.

Date: 2010-10-19 09:23 pm (UTC)Fugitive is just so...pointless. It boggles the mind how a team which could produce something so emotionally raw and tightly paced as Chuno (not to mention something that managed to juggle about a billion storylines at ones) could make such a mess as this.

Date: 2010-10-20 03:56 am (UTC)Exactly. And I think the reason why I can't enjoy it like I enjoy my dumb, equally pointless Hollywood movies is because this is shaping up to be a 16-20 episode drama, not a 2hr brain vacay. I've finally finished struggling through the 1st ep, and after that whole hour, we're only given the vaguest plot points. It's like watching a slideshow of unconnected action scenes. Rain's partner was killed ages ago (for some reason), the cops suspect him and chase him around, meanwhile he's linked himself up with suspicious Jin Yi, whom a bunch of people want to kill (for some reason). It's like getting halfway through the Transformers movie and Shia LaBeouf hasn't even met Optimus Prime yet.
I was actually BORED and started hitting fastforward when Jin Yi's past was revealed and her adopted parents killed. I mean, showing us the dreadful past of a character whom we've only just met and don't care beans about... did they expect us to be moved? And I think the flaws here are particularly highlighted by the fact that I'm also following dramas like SKKS and Gloria, shows with a lot of heart and which I'm emotionally invested in. Even with Playful Kiss, which will never garner any sort of devotion from me, I at least like the characters and care what happens to them.

Date: 2010-10-20 10:34 am (UTC)Everyone I know who watches Kdramas has been telling me to watch SKKS, but I'm suspecting that it's highly addictive so I'm leaving it till after the semester too xp
I'm kinda curious - is Gloria good (and not too addictive)? Because if I'm not wrong one of the male leads is the guy from Hearts of 19 and I loved him in that. And it's good to have a drama for meals/to relax from work every now and then.

Date: 2010-10-21 08:28 pm (UTC)Gloria is fun but in a mellow, not addictive way, IMO.
