I'm Sungkyunkwan Scandal all the way. I almost have no time for other dramas these days, with watching (when I can) it live, then the RAW in the evening and then subbed over the weekend. I am watching Joseon X-FIles as well (which is not on your list) - and that one also really rocks.

I totally forgot JXF. Boo on self.

LOL! Looks like SKKS is swiping the floor with everything else.
I'm actually watching Joseon X-files too and liking it a lot.

I am glad. I did one of these last year and YAB ended up sweeping, leaving me left out :)

Leaving SKKS for later, passing on FoD lest I find the desire to watch crazy-eyed Shin Eun-Kyung (YSH would still put me off, I think), passing on QoR (may check the first few eps., but didn't care for the previews much, just not feeling it), ...

That leaves Daemul as my one and only obsession. Weeee!

Hope you feel better soon, Mousie. FWIW, KSW shares your pain, and so does GHJ. (Both of them struggling with a cold after filming in the rain last week.)

KSW and GHJ welcome to come over my house to drink my lemon tea and munch on my vitamin C tablets. Though maybe not, as I'd probably hyperventilate and faint.

One ep of FoD was more than enough for me. I like my makjang thrown in a little, to add a bit of spice. FoD is like eating a whole bowl of ghost chillies straight.

Eps 2 and 3 of Daemul for me later today (is it weird that I am hoarding?)

is it weird that I am hoarding?

Not at all, I'd inhale DM if I could, DoYa included. I'm also spoiled for ep. 6 and need this week's eps. to happen right now.

right now I'm only watching FOD and enjoying it immensely. I plan to watch the rest but I can actually afford to hold out on those, FOD is currently my cocaine of choice. I am well aware it is rotting my brain.

Better you than me :) Have SW and YSH appeared again yet?

They appeared in ep 6 and Seo Woo is love. The boy-husband had no actual dialogue in the episode so meh on him but Seo Woo's character is her mother's child through and through.

I'm looking forward watching Sungkyunkwan Scandal but since I discovered that there are soft subs for Kim Soo Ro out for all the episodes after 11 ...very much occupied with that at the moment. *gg* Not to mention Jumong and there is still Dong Yi.

Daemul sounds too awesome to not check it out, though that has to wait as well.

KSR subs are out? Where where where, I crave!

At www.yellowcinema.com
Ep 16 (I think) and the last two are missing and it's .ass, not .srt, but it works perfectly with the VLC-Player.
From the comments it seems that they don't synch all the time with the posted raws, so since the subs are han, I downloaded the han-files from am-addiction

There are SOFTSUBS out for KSR after 11?! Please tell me where! I'm struggling through those dang Tudou videos on Viikii and it's just not working for me.

Viikii sadly doesn't work for me at all, even with hotspotshield

You're a legend! Thanks heaps, now I can stop battling with Tudou and actually watch this thing. Seems they're missing 23, 31 and 32, but I suppose I can just catch the rest on Viikii.

Have you tried SuperHideIP? It worked with Viikii, last time I checked. I think HotSpotShield needs an update, because it doesn't work with either Crunchyroll or Viikii anymore.

Hm, this doesn't work for me. No idea why, since it gives me a US ip, but well... thanks anyway. ;)

My favourite of the currently airing ones is Joseon X-Files, though I'm watching Playful Kiss (liking it quite a bit) and Fugitive: Plan B (it's okay fun, especially if watched with a like-minded friend who will mock it with you :)) as well.

I gave up on Plan B after the first ep, but I should try again.

I thought the first episode was not that good, since it was such a mishmash of various storyline that didn't make any sense at that point. There was just too much stuff crammed into one episode without any real contact points that the viewers could use to get into the series.

And having seen the first three episodes, I have to say that I agree with your comment about it being soulless. There is no emotional connection with any of the characters (well, maybe the hot cop and the lady cop OTP) and I haven't really even bothered to learn their character names. To me, the main chracters are Rain, Jini (the woman giving him the job), Yummy General (the friend who died played by the guy from Chuno), hot cop, cop lady, etc :D...

I can't deny the eyecandy, but the plot is still seriously lacking :P.

Unrelated, you really need to catch up with JXF! So good! Though not that much romance there.

I'm watching Dae Mul, Giant, Gloria, and Mischievous Kiss. So far, my biggest OTP is Miju/Min woo from Giant, but YS and DA from Gloria are a close second. My favorite heroine is so Hye Rim, because she is just awesome and I love how strong she is - not taking anything from anyone; Miju is so a close second for the same reason.

It really has been a great Korean drama season. So many awesome heroines and heroes, so many wonderful men, and a lot of great storylines. Plus, some of my favorite OTPs.

Hah, as I thought, all my answers are completely SKKS biased :P It pwns everything else I've watched and will watch this year, in every single way. I'm so obsessed with it that I need a therapist; I simply can't concentrate on anything else.

I've been struggling through the first ep of Fugitive since yesterday, so technically I'm "watching." It's just not striking the right tone with me though, even though I generally love dumb Hollywood action movies. I think it'd help if they'd settle down in ONE COUNTRY just so we can slowly be introduced to the characters and work out what they're doing, but they're just country hopping at the moment.

From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Hey, if you need a therapist, so do I.

Fugitive is just so...pointless. It boggles the mind how a team which could produce something so emotionally raw and tightly paced as Chuno (not to mention something that managed to juggle about a billion storylines at ones) could make such a mess as this.

Fugitive is just so...pointless.

Exactly. And I think the reason why I can't enjoy it like I enjoy my dumb, equally pointless Hollywood movies is because this is shaping up to be a 16-20 episode drama, not a 2hr brain vacay. I've finally finished struggling through the 1st ep, and after that whole hour, we're only given the vaguest plot points. It's like watching a slideshow of unconnected action scenes. Rain's partner was killed ages ago (for some reason), the cops suspect him and chase him around, meanwhile he's linked himself up with suspicious Jin Yi, whom a bunch of people want to kill (for some reason). It's like getting halfway through the Transformers movie and Shia LaBeouf hasn't even met Optimus Prime yet.

I was actually BORED and started hitting fastforward when Jin Yi's past was revealed and her adopted parents killed. I mean, showing us the dreadful past of a character whom we've only just met and don't care beans about... did they expect us to be moved? And I think the flaws here are particularly highlighted by the fact that I'm also following dramas like SKKS and Gloria, shows with a lot of heart and which I'm emotionally invested in. Even with Playful Kiss, which will never garner any sort of devotion from me, I at least like the characters and care what happens to them.

I was excited for Daemul and Runaway Plan B, but then I saw the first half hour of Runaway and never got around the disappointment (I WAS SO BORED. WITH SO MUCH RUNNING AND SHOOTING AND BOMBING I SHOULD NOT BE BORED!!). And then school hit like a ton of bricks and I've heard pretty mixed stuff about Daemul so at the very most I'll watch it after the semester.

Everyone I know who watches Kdramas has been telling me to watch SKKS, but I'm suspecting that it's highly addictive so I'm leaving it till after the semester too xp

I'm kinda curious - is Gloria good (and not too addictive)? Because if I'm not wrong one of the male leads is the guy from Hearts of 19 and I loved him in that. And it's good to have a drama for meals/to relax from work every now and then.

Daemul is lovely, IMO.

Gloria is fun but in a mellow, not addictive way, IMO.
