What is with the recent attack of VM badfic? Now there is a bondage Logan/Veronica fic. Come on. I really don't need to be reading your private sexual fantasies, author. Usually those go on webcites with "sex" or perhaps "hot coeds" in the url. I guess I've been spoiled by finding so many good VM fics lately.

I am on page 200 of "Jonathan Strage & Mr. Norrell." It's slightly more interesting, but I would say not much of a favorite: I can certainly put it down easily and find myself speed-reading it, which is not something I do when I savor stuff.

In other news, just saw the ad for Return of the Jedi DVD on November 1! Yay!

And will give Prison Break a chance with the FX marathon tomorrow...

ETA: and now there is a Duncan/Veronica/Logan fic. Yeah, I can see that happening. When Hell is at 0 Kelvin. Who are talked into a threesome by Dead Lilly. *throws up a little in her mouth*

I'm pretty sure bondage fic is the most recent challenge at loveathons. I am by no means prude-ish, but I just can't really imagine a scenario where Logan and V would be getting their bondage on.

That's my problem with it as well. Bondage isn't my cup of tea but it doesn't bother me any. It's just the sheer OOC of it all. There are TV characters I could see being into bondage (Chiana from Farscape will do anything, heck, Buffy in one of her freakier moods might too), it's just Logan and Veronica are REALLY bad candidates for it. Not as bad as they would be for S&M but close...

Yes, I was going to say the same as sadiekate, that it must be for the loveathons challenge. I thought about it, but I can't think of a scenario that would work for them. That is going waaaaaay to far AU and OOC for me.

If you do watch the Prison Break marathon, try to stay with it till the end of ep 7. I felt that 6 & 7 were the best and actually got me quite excited to see the next ep.

It's a challenge community for Veronica/Logan fic of the smut variety. There were a bunch of fairly decent ones that came out of some of the challenges over the summer, so I'm certainly not slamming the comm. It's just this particular challenge is stretching it a bit far.

Absolutely! I was screaming at my laptop at one point (I had to watch 6 off an .avi file), and I was breathless through 7. It was worth it to stick with it long enough to get those two eps.

*squee* I don't promise anything though, you might think it's too violent. Or you know, stupid. (I remember hating the very first episode when I watched it) I also want to point out that in my mind the best episodes are the last two (a double parter, with lots of action, swoony Michael/Sara parts, a certain someone finally getting something to do and some great villains being villains things).

I think what truely draws me to Prison Break is that the main character is so deliciously fatalistic and insane. Not to mention angsty. I guess I just have such a thing for the crazy (if a bit vulnerable) Messiah-complex kind of guys (kinda like Mulder from The X-Files). At heart it's really a story of a good guy trapped in a violent envirnment and how he's trying to deal with it.

Who are talked into a threesome by Dead Lilly.

I can picture dead!Lilly trying to do that. What I can't picture is anybody actually listening to her.

But yeah, enabler!/pusher!Lilly is something that gets totally overused in all kinds of out there fic. Like the woman didn't have anything better to do than crazy matchmaking schemes.
