In other news, it looks like Guilty is going to be my first jdrama of the season. The synopsis makes it sound like a cross between Green Rose and Koori no Sekai, and I fail to see how this could ever be a bad thing. Plus, Tamaki Hiroshi and Kanno Miho!



Plot: Kanno plays the part of Meiko Nogami, a woman with a beautiful and kind heart. But 15 years ago her older sister's husband and son were killed and Meiko was falsely charged with the crime. She is released from prison 12 years later, and she resumes life as a pet groomer, but inside she is burning for revenge. As she searches out the truth behind the original murders, she leads the men around her to their destruction and death. Tamaki is taking on the role of a police detective who becomes attracted to Meiko even as he is investigating her as a suspect.


First ep is out but the subs are not out yet (a subbing group picked it up, however). Yesss.

OTOH, the plot of Second Virgin couldn't be less appealing and more distasteful if it tried. Skip.

I was so excited for this because of Kanno Miho; she's one of my favorites. I watched the first episode RAW and agree that there are shades of Koori no Sekai to it. I also got a bit of a The Devil vibe from it, because Meiko is a "villain" with a reason. I love the way she is in front of others: sweet, vulnerable, but then. . .she switches to something else. Miho is so talented.


And, I never thought I'd say this (especially after how pencil-thin he was in Love Shuffle), but Tamaki Hiroshi is kind of hot in this. Heck, the whole cast is awesome.

I thought he was hot in Nodame (even though I loathed the drama) but yes, scarily skinny in LS.

I just decided to watch the lakor Borisud Bumbut Kaen (The Revenge Therapy Company). It's about two crazy people and I do mean crazy people falling in love while in the process of one executing revenge on the other and then they both execute revenge on the real evil villians. It kept me interested for 3 days. I am on the last episode and it is still good. Here is the link to the teaser. It's on youtube and it is subbed by Anonymousblue2001

I love Kanno Miho and Tamaki Hiroshi, so I'm warily interested in this. Probably will wait until more of it airs so I can see how it goes, though.

Re: Second Virgin, just the title of it set off my alarm bells, and the synopsis does sound rather distasteful.

Meanwhile, a young couple moves into the house next to Nakamura's and the wife (Suzuki Marie) begins to confide in her about the frustrations of their conjugal life.

I wonder exactly what THAT implies, though. It's so vague.
