Yes, I am obsessed about SKKS - I am watching raws and when I took a nap, I was dreaming of it. I need help, only like a true addict, I do not want it.











That last cap is where it really got me. Ah, h/c gets me every time. How freaking awesome is Yoon Hee, btw? LOVE HER. But yes, I came close but ultimately my ship stayed intact because I have rarely loved a drama character the way I do Sun Joon, the principled, unworldly, intelligent, confused, proper Sun Joon with a spine of steel. And guess who sees Yoon Hee and Jae Shin and misinterprets.







Yong Ha is sooooo in love with Jae Shin. Seriously. By now I have no doubt.







Preview promises me this. Finally! Sun Joon, if she has breasts, that means she's a girl, not some weird health condition or swelling. Just making sure we are clear on this because you are waaaaaay dense when it comes to sex. Honest.

I know! I was shocked at Yong Ha! He cried actual human tears! Abd was freaking out when Jae Shin was hidden in his room! And blindfolded a doctor! There is hope for him yet.

In Love at First Fight, the crossdressing heroine finally revealed her gender to the dim-about-it hero by literally placing his hand on her chest. But I think with Sun Joon, something more drastic is needed - he seriously isn't going to process 'boobs' and instead will start thinking Yoon Hee has some sort of a medical swelling. Maybe she should just drop her underwear and show him the lack of the vaunted daemul - I wonder if that will get through?

Told you so. ^^ This episode has some wonderful moments. Damn, I'm still fixated on lips.... SJ's kisser ain't bad either.

Jae Shin is far too gorgeous all sweaty and in pain and Sun Joon is just lovely. I think I'm fancying even Yoon Hee here.

Still not buying Yong Ha's gayness. I have a theory... but too tired to go into that now.

Can't wait till next week. I'm kinda getting obsessive here, which was unexpected.

Talking about lips, just watched ep 13 of PK and have to say... THAT was a proper kiss, me friends! I may or may not have watched the scene more than once. *feeling bit hot under the collar* Guess this is as good a time to hop in bed as any. Sweet dreams! Though I doubt I see any, I tend to sleep like the proverbial log....

Oh I'm so delighted to have a kindred spirit in King love! :)
I also am crushing Prof Jung like all the hot professors I've shamefully droolz upon. And rabidly fangirling almost everything SKKS, that tree where JS and YH is sitting in is very HOT.

King+ Prof Jung is so solid a couple: King JeongJo have a very full plate for his day job as King... yet he always finds the time for nightly trysts at Prof Jung's vicinity at SKK. Either he's very very good w/ time management or they are domestic partners. And you don't leisurely smoke crack in front of nobody. It's so wrong of me to equate smoking anything as a token of intimacy, but I can't deny what I'm seeing with my own eyes or hearing that tender loving care in Prof Jung voice to tell King to quit. *SWOON*

The only character/thing I'm not feeling is Ha InSoo, not because he's a big bad wolf, that's usu my fangirl vice, but I find him dimwitted, his games are so unimaginative for any baddie, bug-eyed glaring and nostril flaring can only get OH SO SCARY. *yawn*

I know, SJ's spine of steel is very appealing...I can't stand heroes who are cowards, totally ruined MGIAG for me, even though the hero grew a spine by the end, still couldn't get over how spineless he used to be.

I am so addicted to SJ and YH's romance, it is killing me to wait for the next episode. I am trying to watch Kingdom of the Winds at your request, I really don't like the heroine though and I wish it was centered more on the romance- don't really like all the politics involved.

I feel like I have watched all the kdrama where there is an intense romance and hero has an intense love for heroine, do you know any others?- I am open to any Asian drama- doesn't have to just be Kdrama Thanks

The heroine is Yeon, the enemy princess - I liked her. (not the girl who appears earlier btw).

Other intense love dramas - Lavender (Taiwan), Silence (Taiwan), Mars (Taiwan and my ultimate fave drama), The Outsiders (ditto - I was obsessed with it). Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Date (most obsessive angsty love thing ever), Itoshi Kimi E, Aishiteiru to Ittekure, Forbidden Love, Tatta Hitotsu No Koi - for jdramas.

Let me try to think of some others.

How about Summer Desire for completely obsessed heroes? Both of them were completely crazy about the heroine to the point it was totally unhealthy but so addictive.

Yes, hero's spinelessness ruined MGIAG for me too (are you my brain twin? :P) I can forgive almost anything in a hero except cowardice. I never got past ep 4 because of it.

thanks for the recs Mousie! I can forgive hero for everything but cowardice and also if hero leaves heroine for other girl- happened in Autumn Tale and hated it, the second girl was going to kill herself in absence of hero so hero stayed with her out of concern, hated that!

just wanted to add that I ended up watching all of MGIAG because I had nothing else to watch and the drama wasn't horrible but I wasn't emotionally invested in the characters like I was for WHIB or Tamna, or SKKS (especially SKKS, lol)... the love triangle was really not good at all, no tension and I could care less if the OTP ended up together or not, there were funny parts in the drama though

I agree completely with your comment! =) I dropped MGIAG after episode 4. I gave it a chance, but it wasn't must see tv. I didn't connect with the story emotionally. Whereas, SKKS four episodes in, and the fourth finishes on Prof. Jung to Yoon Hee, "Are you a girl?!" How could we not want to keep watching? By then, the Joseon 4 dynamics seemed inevitable and there was no way in hell I was going to miss watching that come about. =)

I am not a fan of the Hong Sisters. I liked You're Beautiful enough to watch it till the end, but even that pales compared to SKKS. I think their works are fun and serviceable, but the last third of their dramas become tiredsome and contrived. Their strength is definitely in establishing a story and creating characters rather than seeing it to completion.

It's so rare to find rom coms done right. SKKS is working. =)

I know! SKKS has real substance and that's why I think it works, the story is now at such an emotional peak that SJ's confession is just such a relief and I can't wait to see what happens next....

I have to admit that I was really into You're Beautiful but by episode 13(I think) I started to get very irritated with the story and the ending was very unsatisfying. (I was also annoyed at how dumb the two main characters were, the girl was blindly in love with him and even after the guy kissed her, he still didn't know he had feelings for her, I mean duh! -they just didn't seem like real adults- yes they were innocent, but SJ of SKKS is also innocent and knows that he likes YH and is physically attracted to her- looking at her lips..ect) Also secondary characters were nowhere near as three dimensional as the 4 main characters in SKKS, SKKS has a lot of heart to it, I'm not surprised its based on a popular book

Ah SJ.....I love me some virgin hero who's totally clueless about sex but manages to be hot at the same time. And there's no way SJ isn't a virgin. No way.

In fact, he's so clueless that I'm almost certain that what we saw in the preview won't be the moment he discovers YS is actually a girl. The poor boy might just be all stirred up by being so close and personal with his man-love and seized by some lustful thoughts straight out that little red book YHa gave him.

Episodes 13 and 14! I couldn't believe that SKKS hit it out of the park again! All the emotional beats felt right and we're getting to the angsty place. It is SO ON. =)

And Jae Shin..! Yoo Ah In is THE breakout actor of this series. Overnight people have gone crazy for him and it's no wonder. Sweaty and wounded, protective and hot headed. LOVE.

And of course, Yoon Hee, Sun Joon and the epicness of Yong Ha these two episodes = mind blown and dying of happiness.

Damn, it is a good time to be a kdrama fan. =)

I LOVED THAT SCENE. I've watched it raw too because subs for Episode 14 aren't complete yet :/ But seriously, I've probably nearly switched ships half a dozen times already, but ultimately Sun Joon/Yoon Hee remains OTP because they're so perfect for each other, and Sun Joon jealous gives me happy tingling. I wish I could clone Yoon Hee just so I can see Jae Shin/Yoon Hee happen, though. Poor guy. He's so ridiculously hot, I don't know what to do with him. Like girlfriday said, I kind of wish he'd at least get one hot kiss before Yoon Hee gets taken away by Sun Joon, LOL.

SKKS just gets better with each episode, and I CANNOT WAIT for 15. Fingers crossed it gets better, because X said earlier today that if it doesn't go to crap in the remaining eps, he's going to sub it after Giant finishes!
