Thanks to sodahands, I have found out about the upcoming jdrama Nagareboshi which starts next week.

Apparently, it's a love story between Takenouchi Yutaka, a man with a secret he will do anything to protect, and Ueto Aya, a suicidal prostitute working to pay off her brother's debts. For various reasons they enter into a contract marriage and the story goes from there.

There are so many reasons to be excited - the awesome cast (in addition to beyond delicious Yutaka and Aya whom I always like, there is also Matsuda Shota and Kitano Kii (please make them a secondary OTP please) and Inagaki Goro of SMAP as Juri's brother) plus I love with jdramas do angsty love stories - they do them so well.

DO NOT SCREW IT UP, JDRAMA! It's been a long time since a good angsty romance.

And now I am off to watch Rondo to prep myself :P Have a Rondo MV.

That doesn't look half bad, though I'm kind of wary of japanese melodramas. The actress is Ueto Aya, btw, not Ueno Juri :)

I'm really excited about this lol too 'cos it's Takenouchi and he was amazing in Hoshi no Kinka (yeah, even with all the angst going down - seriously why haven't you watched it yet?) and Beach Boys (my ultimate squee drama 'cos it has shirtless Takenouchi and Sorimachi a lot of the time).

But the female lead isn't Juri, but Aya Ueto. Who i know some people either love or hate. I actually like her so i'm happy.

But yeah, can't wait!

I mean, apart from the ending, the rest of the drama was really quite good. I hate angst but i stuck through to the end.

Ok though, if you can't do that then Beach Boys. It's pure wish fulfillment - two hot guys either shirtless or wet, or even both.

Chuno ended in a way I liked for my OTP.

I don't know, HnK makes me think more of those angsty kdramas where hero an heroine had horrid lives, go through hell, and at the end she dies of leukemia. This ceased to be my thing a few years back, so nope :P

I have been looking forward to this ever since I read a description of it. It does sounds deliciously melodramatic, and probably won't end well. But I like the cast and am in the mood for this kind of a drama.

I adore Takenouchi Yutaka!! But Aya Ueto is more suited for comedic parts, her dramatic parts tend to be quite undramatic (Azumi for example) she has a natural comedic timing and I thought she was hilarious in Attention please and abarenbo mama.
Beach boys and dekichatta kekkon are some of my ultimate Yutaka doraman, I'm such a fangirl

OMG! Rondo is like one of my most secret guilty pleasures. so cheesy, filled with agnst, and Choi Ji Woo looking like she's going to break and cry any second. And let's not forget the who's Japanese and who's Korean twists and turns in the plot.
