Can you put in spoilers what happened? I've been totally entertained by your Partner rants/raves. I can't watch legal-based dramas, makes me insane with the legal WTF-ery, always bad to watch dramas based on your own profession.

That bad? Did someone kill the other person?

LOL, no, no murders - one Bali is enough :)

OK, I am going to try to make it as concise as possible :)

The legal firm of hero's brother and father was apparently involved in some massive illegal stuff to cover up an industrial disaster of their client's. When it was going to come out, they framed hero for it, but hero's brother actually told the truth on the stand which resulted in liability to client and freedom of hero.

Oh, and secondary lady became pregnant and was going to leave for America and told hero's brother that basically either he comes with her and leaves his wife or it's all over. (Wife, who is for once a cool character in a drama, knows about adultery, doesn't like it, but is willing to keep hubby as she likes him despite it) So far, so good.

So, at the end, she is waiting for him at the airport where they agreed to meet to leave together, and as he is walking out of his office to be with her and leave his wife finally, cops come up to him and arrest him for something related to the big disaster case, and he can't do anything. So secondary lady waits and waits and he doesn't show so she decides he changed his mind and decided not to leave his position and his wife after all, so she gets on the plane and leaves him forever, believing he didn't want to be with her. As he goes to jail, losing his one chance at normalcy. Hooray.

Moral of the story - should have kept his mouth shut and not developed scruples. He'd still have a life, then.

I can't watch American legal shows but I can Korean because I can pretend all the bizarreness is due to Korean legal system being different (though even then, some of the stuff I see here really raises eyebrows).

HHhmm, definitely a bummer, and pointless actually, not meant for any greater purpose other than shit happens.

Et tu, chingu? Legal nonsense drives me batty (someone was bitching about the Divorce for Dummies case in IAL - and I told them I treat the law and the legal system in IAL like it's conceived by unicorns and puppies and not anything real, so I'm cool with that).

Thank god no one got their brains blown out. You never did finish Bad Guy, did you? Not telling you to, but merely stating that I want my time from the utter ridiculousness at the end.

I am completely boggled by the conflicts disregard in Partner. Every case we see involves Younger bro representing one side and Older bro/Dad representing the other. Whaaaaat? I mean, I don't know, but unless Korea has vastly different conflicts rules, I can't see how that works. I suppose clients could all waive it, but why would they want to? Talk about trouble. And nobody even brings it up! Also, I wonder if Korea allows last minute evidence documents and witnesses that you didn't even have to clear with the other side first - that seems kind of insane but that is what Partner seems to believe.

Re: bad Guy. I am very spoiled for the ending which is why I never finished. I don't mind bad endings (love Bali to bits) but they have to make sense.

I am amazingly totally into "my girl friend is a Gumiho". Its like totally amazing. Shin Min Ah makes you fall in love with her from the first moment you see her. She is totally innocent and scary all at the same time. You don't know whether to hug her or run away. (I would go with the hug).

I have also been watching the story of the Fox's child and I can actually say I was holding my breath for like half of the episodes. BTW- The two little girls are stealing the series.

I keep meaning to check out Fox Child.

For some reason Girlfriend Gumiho isn't clicking with me.

for some reasons I can click only with the gorgeous fox hunter....whom I don't ship with the gumiho at all... and this will make this drama for me "watchable because of someone" and that certain someone has only 10 minutes on clock per episode

to girly looking, but I know that's what the trend is

For me the series hits on a lot of points

1) what does it mean to be human
2) What is love
3) Mi Ho's quest for love, to be human and to be accepted as a person
4) The dangerious aspects of the hunter, who is way to pretty for a guy(I know thats trendy now), and the dangerious aspects of Miho herself
5) That fact that Miho is both 500 years old and a little girl all at the same time.

There are aspects of this that make me think about Sharon and Helo in BSG

I agree that Miho gives off Sharon vibes but, sadly, I find Dae Woong too immature and wimpy to be like Helo.

Maybe thats the point, DW needs to grwo up and become a man, "More Helo like" and remember it is a comedy/romance )smile)
