Yes,I heard about the ending...but I'll finish it nonetheless for Tae Sung. I want to see the end of his journey -after all he's one of my favourite k-drama character ever.

The last 4 or 5 episodes of Bad Guy were quite a mess...that's a shame, because there was A LOT of potential : great acting, great director, interesting ideas... But the writers ruined it all towards the end of the show.

In a way, I feel badly for Bad Guy. It started very strong, but then the problems crept up: they had to cut the episodes from 20 to 17, and had to rush the last five of those seventeen episodes because Kim Nam Gil had to rush into the army, which made things even more rushed - the plot holes are huge in the last few episodes! Plus, the male lead never grew or changed, and that bothered me.

They ruined it! WTF!?! Is that all they could come up with? I wonder if they did any re-writing of the script at all. A spoiler a while ago before they'd decided to cut the drama said that *a certain character* would die in episode 17 but that the next 3 episodes would still be interesting. Well, said character did indeed die in episode 17 and then THE END and no one even knows. It seems like they just decided to do without the next three episodes instead of rewriting the story to fit in a 17 episodes frame.

That MoNe did it actually kind of makes sense. It's very "Devilish" in that one of the 'victims' gets his/her revenge at the end when the maon character had almost found peace. But what comes after is a total crackfeast and not the good kind.

It's so frelling stupid that the supposed tragedy of it all flies right over my head and I don't even feel like shedding a small tear.

I'm kind of depressed though. August doesn't look like it's going to be a good month for me drama-wise. I'm only following Summer's Desire and was counting on rewatching Bad Guy to tidy me over until the september dramas start.

I want to try watching What Happened in Bali despite the gory ending but I can only find 350MB episodes and I'm afraid the quality will be bad. Do you know of any other version available by any chance?

The 350mb eps looked fine to me when I dled for capping. Bali isn't as gorgeous visually as BG any way, but the story is much stronger.

I too will try to finish it only for TS's sake. From the sounds of the ending, it will be tough to justify the uneven quality of this drama. On one hand it offers such a slick aesthetic (which I loved) and a character with so much presence in (who else) TS. On the other, this has got to be the most appallingly inconsistent storyline ever. I can understand KNG's enlistment causing major continuity problems, but they certainly had their chance of doing better elsewhere. I mean, according to the background story, TS's birth mom is supposed to have been Old Man Hong's long-time mistress - until the year their illegit son (TS) turned five! That they opted to disregard that fact as if it was never released to the media... *fume fume fume-ity fume*
What exactly then was the point of making TS so amazing?

All I can do is laugh. You know you've done something wrong as a writer when *I*, of all people, could care less about what happens to the main leads. I rarely stray from canon when it comes to Asian dramas. Damn these writers for taking the time to develop the most three dimensional, interesting character on the show show and making him the secondary lead. FACEPALM.

I'll probably ffwd through the finale just to see what happens to Tae-sung I want to make sure he's okay in the end.

Enough people on soompi liked it that maybe I am an aberration. Basically protagonist gets killed by the half-sister (young one) he tried to seduce without her knowing who he really was, he dies really slowly and idiotically, but nobody knows he is dead, heroine keeps believing he is alive, nothing else gets resolved, revenge plan never really gets into gear, the whole thing is idiotic.

I have no idea what the hell they did to Gun Wook's character, it's like they gave him 10 different personalities. I can't even say it was just the last episodes - although they were more pronounced - but if they were gonna head that way then man did they give it shitty set up.
