The topic of this post is not a surprise

We were doing fun family things all day but that also meant I had no chance to watch more than a few minutes of LOCH - am still on ep 10.

Still, so far it is continuing stellar and I love every last minute. Few quick thoughts before bed.

1. Most awkward family ever - parents who don't open their mouths to each other and can't stand to be in the same room, and the stepsiblings who just want to jump each other's bones. They really should appear on Chinese Springer. (Side note - poor Guo Jing - he is totally projecting his own need for a family on them and he refuses to see that this is dysfunction city).





2. These two are so compatible and awesome and sane. I love the way he looks at her (especially when she does something smart or bossy - he gets so proud) and I love the way she takes care of him. She is not big on empathy or sympathy or even basic kindness in general but she has all that and more for him.




3. Huang Rong is a fierce HBIC and I love every bit of it. So does Guo Jing.





4. I still prefer YK's whiny mother with Honglie. Yeah, yeah, he's a bad guy. I don't care. He almost died protecting his not-blood-related son. Papa Yang just scowls and does nothing other than look superior.

There are so many LOCH posts today - this is always a good sign. I haven't started this yet (and most likely won't have time to start it at the moment) but judging from the pictures alone I prefer the secondary OTP. The guy is waaaaaay prettier.

If you do check it out, I rec skippping the first 3 eps, they are pretty lame (and not necessary for enjoyment of the drama). Then it gets awesome.

I am torn on the otps - the secondary one (only they get about equal screentime so I suppose it's not secondary) is sexy and angsty and I agree the guy is mega-hot. But the main one - they are so functional and cute. Luckily I do not have to pick :)
