Hey dangermousie, belated Happy Birthday!

Just wanted to tell you how much I'm LOVING you OMG-ing all over LoCH. LoCH2008 was the 4th LoCH version I've watched, but its the most modern and accessible adaption (though they completely changed Yang Kang's character). I've read the novel as well, so let me know if you need some bearing.

I'm sad you watch RoCH first, it really should be watched in order, because all the issues in RoCH, the karma, a lot of it is created in LoCH.

I am addicted. I am on ep 7 in less than 24 hours and I have not fast-forwarded once which for me is a big deal (I am very short-attention span).

I am actually glad I watched ROCH first because that way I know the ultimate outcome for the main four but nothing else so I can be relaxed that e.g. Guo Jing doesn't die hideously but still be surprised by the details. Plus, I can't remember if ROCH was my first wuxia (it may have been, actually) but it was certainly the one which got me hooked. (One of the most fun memories of mine is watching ROCH on a transcontinental flight and the little old Chinese lady sitting next to me doing a double-take when she was what I was watching and joining in with a lot of excitement :P)

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it. Though so far I am following it surprisingly well (I had more difficulty with ROCH but by now I think I have more practice).

It's only 50 eps and each ep is 45 minutes (40 if you skip the credits). First two-three eps aren't that awesome but once the story moves out of Mongolia, so good.
