dangermousieOne Tree Hill still sucks my brain cells away, but CMM was half-naked again in a previous episode and...where was I? Oh yes. I have never before watched a show that had so many characters I couldn't stand, and only one of them was actually supposed to be evil!
Dad Dan is referred to as Dadzilla on TWoP and I can definitely see why. The man hands-down wins "worst father of the year" award in regards to poor, hot, blond, studly Lucas. Ehem, where was I? Actually telling the kid that he has no right to the family name? (and how is it the kid's fault you forgot to use protection?) and telling him you wish he was never born? Trying to ruin his life by treating him like an enemy? Dan definitely gets the little trophy (though this might change once I watch Veronica Mars' S1 DVDs. I've heard "promising" things of Aaron Echolls). Though spoiled little snit "legitimate son" Nathan still has little to complain about, so he should just shut the frak up.
Peyton, Peyton, Peyton. It's amazing what they can do with technology these days. They can even take a piece of plastic and make it look halfway human and make its mouth move. Maybe, with the Peyton 2.0 model they will try for some acting ability.
Nathan? I hate you. Seriously, I know you are supposed to be bad only on the surface and with a heart of gold hidden under there, as result of your evil dad, but sorry. The only way you have a heart of gold is if you stole it from someone after clobbering them to death. It's gotten so bad that every time you try to charm Haley and we are supposed to (I assume) believe it's for real, I just want to go to a quiet corner and retch. Not the vibe the OTH TPTB were going for, but when you mistreat your girlfriend and insult Lucas, whose only crime is existing, in utterly horrible, unforgivable ways, it's hard to view you any other way. Plus, sociopaths? So not hot. If there is not one person you are nice to and interact OK with, you are just no use. Spike was a soulless vampire but he loved Dru in his twisted way and took perfect care of her. Logan on VM, while in another universe from "shining knight," seems to be utterly sweet to Veronica when they are together. Even Gaius "my libido blew up a planet" Baltar showed the depth of his caring for Six in "Pegasus." But not Nathan. He is an even jerk all around.
Haley? For a smart girl her taste in men is inexplicable. I'd rather kiss a frog than Nathan. At least there is a chance a frog could turn into a prince. Plus, why is she making googly eyes at someone else when CMM is right there? OTOH, Brooke is fun if we saw her for more than two minutes.
But CMM is beyond hot as Lucas, so I guess I'll continue to let the show destroy my intelligence.
