Quick thoughts on Personal Taste eps 11-12

1. How much do I love that Jin Ho and Gae In really are best friends turned lovers. Their interactions are so pitch-perfect - teasing, matter-of-fact romantic (he says he can't live without her in the most prosaic way possible :P), comfortable and even sexy (the bit where they were both going a little batty with lust in their separate rooms = adorable). You really see 2 people who fit so perfectly well you can't imagine a better match.

2. Chang Ryul and In Hee should go fry in a pit of oil. In Hee more than CR though because CR is just her stupid patsy. Speaking of people who should fry - oh, can Hyemi die already? At least In Hee is clever, Hyemi is just a shrill boring moron with supreme irritating skills. Oh, and while we are at it, Jin Ho's Mom, FU - what, Gae In is not good enough simply because she used to date CR at one point? Ugh.

3. Did anyone else think Josef Fritzl when they first heard that Sang Go Jae has a secret basement? LOL. I totally did. I always thought there was something fishy about Gae In not remembering her mother (she was plenty old enough to do so), and now we see why, just as why she doesn't remember getting that nasty scar on her ankle. I bet she shattered that glass floor when she was a kid, acidentally, and that's how she got the scar and her mother got killed by the falling glass. So that's why her father can't stand to look at her.

Your thoughts mirror mine! I love Jin Ho and Gae In's interactions, because they're just too cute. Episode 12 had me laughing so much during the part where he stays over, and they keep awkwardly bumping into each other because they can't sleep. I laughed so hard when they starting watching tv and a show with chimps mating came on!

Alternatively I'm so heartbroken for Do Bin.

Poor Do Bin, he is such a lovely person. I hope he finds his own happiness by the end.

I've been wondering that too - I mean, really, how on earth is Hye Ri going to forgive him and/or believe he loves her now, and even if in a stretch she manages to do so in the few episodes they have left, how on earth can In Woo in good conscience be with her when she's so involved with what happened to his family? SPOILERS follow for anyone else reading this, I never figured out how to do that grey-out thing.I mean can you imagine the dinner table? The daughter, the man she married, and the father-in-law who was (apparently) pretty much responsible for the deaths of both his son-in-law's parents? A cheery gathering that would be!! OR alternately, a dinner table at which Hye Ri's father is missing because In Woo put him in prison! even better!

The thing that gives me hope is unlike most revenge drama protagonists, IW isn't seeking revenge - he's seeking justice. Still, HR genuinely loves her father who was pretty good to her, all-in-all. I am so very curious how they will deal with that.
