We saw Valkyrie today, the movie about a failed attempt to kill Hitler by a bunch of German Army officers. I thought it was very good. Kept hoping they'd succeed, even though I knew they did not.

(Tom Cruise wasn't as good as some of the other actors, but he was fine enough).

In Korean Hana Yori Dango news, some soompiers found and posted a few caps from eps 3 and 4 and EEEEE! Jun Pyo with straight hair and a uniform *gasp* (presumably because Jandi lay into him about her hatred for his hair and the fact that he thinks he is so cool he doesn't need to wear a uniform. I loved that bit in the manga. Now let's hope her rant about his personality sinks in, too). I almost didn't recognize him!

I saw Valkyrie post-dental surgery and man, I don't think I would've agreed to see it if I hadn't been hopped up on painkillers and Martinelli's apple cider. It was...disappointing? I did like the eyepatch, though.

SCREENCAPS! Straight haired Jun Pyo (that part killed me in the manga)! Soujiro/Yuki! I've never been more excited for monday to come...

I'm not going to watch Valkyrie... I quite dislike Tom Cruise right now. I might catch it if it's ever on cable (I'll watch almost anything on cable. I draw the line at Jean-Claude Van Damme/Steven Segal movies though)...

I am having to watch Beautiful Days to fill in the days before HYD gets going again. I do want to see Valkyrie, but the whole knowledge that the conspiracy doesn't succeed sort of makes me think that maybe I should watch it at home where I can shout at the screen without annoying people.

I heard the Soujiro/Yuki ship will actually float in this version! I cannot wait to see those two get together! (But is that a tie on Kim Bum because it looks more like a tongue to me o_O)

I love that part in the manga where Makino tells him is straight hair looks nice and then his hair just springs back to its unruly curly state right after.

I love Soujiro/Yuki! I was sad that they didn't get much in the Japanese version. I watched the final movie on the plane back to Japan, and I kept waiting for them to show up and I was very disappointed.

I'm starting to want to read the manga, and none of the other adaptations has made me want to do this (Meteor Garden didn't even make me want to finish the drama), possibly because neither version was currently airing when I watched it?

Heee. He is too young for me to evaluate (he's 19) so I have no opinion, but he does seem to have hordes of Korean fangirls :)

(I actually really like this actor because I saw him in a very different drama which was all Germinal-like about the opression of the working class, and he was very very good).

And I really dig the duality with the guy: he's got a very angelic face but he is so not (like when he says to Jun-Pyo that all he have to do about Jan-Di is do as usual meaning sending her a red cart and let her enter hell, with a very nice smile.... creepy).

The straigth hair is all adorable. Didn't recognize either to be honest. Really, it's typical Jun-Pyo to think that the hair is gonna change anything ^^. But golden point for trying :).
