I am cautious but optimistic about the F4 they cast - they look the part but not sure if they can act. Well, with the exception of Kim Bum, who I am madly excited about, but wishing he played Domyouji.

I am cautious, but not unpleasantly so, about Goo Hye Sun - I assume her acting is good, and hopefully they can make her look younger than she is. But I am now more optimistic about her casting because two more casting choices have been revealed and they make me squee in glee. The casting director seems to know what he/she is doing!

They cast the awesome Kam Nam Gil (CG's Dad in Goong, chief reporter in Capital Scandal) as Makino's Dad. He is just so funny and awesome. And even better...OMG! They cast Han Go Eun as Domyouji's sister. OMGOMGOMG. HGE owns my heart so much, after her amazing role as courtesan/revolutionary assassin/hero's best friend/OTP of secondary hero in Capital Scandal, one of my favorite dramas. I love her. There are rumors also of Han Chae Young to be Shizuka and if that happens I'll glee a lot.

So yay for the casting!

Han Go Eun is PERFECT for the role of Doumouji's badass sister, I'm so excited!! :D :D

She should've gotten some serious props for her role in CS, honestly. It's sad she didn't. I heard she'd previously been known as a really bad actress but she stepped it up so much in CS, I hope she gets good roles and her deserved attention soon. Songju!

Honestly I think if they just get the vibe of the story right and the OTP clicks, this Korean Hanadan will be a fun ride. Maybe not the best version of it out there, but still, fun. Unless they alter it a LOT and somehow manage to scrap the legendary HYD scenes everybody knows & loves.

Cool, you know the cast! ^^ Since I heard about the Korean version I'm quite unsure how to think about it. Sure I always like new dramas, but the Hana yori Dango story is one of my most favorite ones, and since I don't know any of the cast I'm quite unsure. After reading your post I'm a bit more relaxed. ^^

And I'm sorry I didn't get back to you about the movie on Friday... left my cell at home that day and had to work that night. I'm working an insane amount of hours at my part-time job, I don't think I will ever, ever have time off.

But I like the money. :)

I LOVE Han Go Eun! She was so awesome in CS.
And she's just perfect as Domyouji's sister.

I wish Kim Bum played Domyouji. He would've been able to pull it off perfectly.

Kim Bum would have been incredibly perfect. I've never seen him (or even heard of him) before EoE but he absolutely blew me away there. I think if the casting happened a little later, after all that acclaim for his EoE role came out, he probably would have been Domyouji. *sigh*

So true. Even though I love Hyun Joong, I'd rather have Kim Bum play Rui. I just want him in a bigger role!
But hopefully the guy cast as Domyouji will be good *fingers crossed*

Me too! I'd even dare say that I love them over Han Ji Min and Kang Ji Hwan! Can't wait to see her as Domyouji's sister! =)
