You all know my complicated love-hate relationship with the Korean Boys Over Flowers (I adored it through ep 14 and liked it through ep 16. Unfortunately, the drama was 25 episodes long).

But I bring you this Jun Pyo/Jandi vid which seems to be made entirely for me as it deals solely with eps 1-16.

I feel so nostalgic now.

Oh God, when I remember how much I adored both Jun Pyo and Jandi and what a rabid shipper for the two of them I was, and then when I think how I was by the end...*wants to weep*

Still, watching it with the fandom was one of the most fun fandom experiences ever.

And BOF did introduce me to the hotness and intensity that is Lee Min Ho.

ETA: And I really love the way the below MV is cut.

BOF is such an abusive boyfriend.

Because, dammit, he was her best friend and canonical soulmate and they had so much fun and he was the one who got her through all the bad things in her life, and there was piggybacking, water play, and face stroking in the rain.

This was the SOLE time in anything, ever, where I uncanon shipped for real.

Those 3 mvs have sealed my fate!! I'm just such a sucker for Hanadan, I can't help but want to watch this version, too, despite the 2nd half. Expecially after that last video - Rui was always an interesting character but looks like we really get some insight into his soul in this version - who can resist?!

It's prettily shot and has some gorgeous people, most of whom can act. Just keep your expectations really low and you are set :) And yes, Rui has a super prominent part, to a degree it warps the story, actually.

has it only been half a year? I feel as though it's been ages since the show ended...

I don't think I've ever obsessed over ANY drama as much as BOF, not even the original Taiwanese one, which I watched during winter quarter of my freshman year at college...hahahaha.....(and that caused my 2 best friends and I many sleepless nights and no shows for class! hahaha)

But even then, I've never shipped Rui/Makino as much, and as absolutely as I do in BOF. At the end of the day, no matter how awesome Lei was, Daoming Si and Shancai just went through so much more that they have to be together at the end...(yes, even after MG2)

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE KIM HYUN JOONG AND GO HYESUN IN ANOTHER DRAMA TOGETHER WHERE THEY ARE THE LEADS??? I need them to have a happily ever after!! I need closure!!! hahaha

It was so ridiculously good in the first half. In the eary eps, it was going on my fave Hanadan adaptation list. I guess I should have known the warning signs when they screwed up the kidnaping/beatdown scene but...

Eeeeh, I did love JunPyo collapsing in his office and at the airport from angst. Second half did give me that. (At that point I still loved him - it was the fiancee handling that did me in).
