Re: BOF. It's no secret that by now I am basically in it for Ji Hoo (I want him to get happiness whichever way), Woo Bin's amusingness, and Yi Jung/Ga Eul.

So imagine my delight when I found the following picture on hydkorea.





Also apparently the following happens at some point (how very kdrama, heeeee):

Yi Jeong realizes that Ga Eul, not Eun Jae, is the one who has constantly been by his side during his recent phase of self-destruction.
Ga Eul makes up her mind to leave Yi Jeong alone, feeling that she is making things more difficult for him. However, Yi Jeong pulls Ga Eul into a hug and says with tears, “Everyone who I like leaves me…..that’s why I can’t hold onto you”. Ga Eul responds, “I still like you….but you have Eun Jae”. She turns around to leave; however, Yi Jeong stops Ga Eul and kisses her. “I think I know now…… why something drew me to you…. I think I know,” he says. “Trust me.”

Hey, if she wants a mess, but a hot and rich mess, why not? Making a go of it is so much more realistic than the supposedly-starcrossed-but-really-not thing they are doing with the main otp.





How very Bollywood romance location of them. Dare I hope this version will actually give them *gasp* a happy ending?

Alcoholic Yi Jung cracks me up. There was utterly no drinking in BoF until Joon Pyo went to Macau and had some wine, and suddenly both he and Yi Jung are hitting the bottle.

Reminds me of F3 handing out cans of Bud and giving Shancai one :D

All non-British(the brits have their own thing going on) film types across the ocean(from the US, that is) the steal from each other anyway. I do remember reading rather early on that the Y/S (or YJ/GE) of this verison would get a "new and interesting" plot. So, I'm hoping that they at least do the scene you wrote above. Because, honestly? At this point, Yi Jeong and Ga Eul are way more of a kdrama OTP - and are displaying way more chemistry - than 'real' OTP(s) of this show. I'm literally fast forwarding through the J-love square of DOOM at this point.



Boys will be redeemed in my eyes if I get Yi Jeong /Ga Eul at some more Woo Bin being awesome scenes. All I'm saying.

True - I kinda want to watch kdrama about them instead - the whole 'rich but damaged guy' and 'poor but plucky girl' is such a kdrama staple. It's funny, because if they were doing it right, the main OTP was supposed to be that but they failed so much!

They were for the first 13-14 episodes. Then things went all to hell. JP became a whiner, JD lost her spine. . . it all went horribly wrong. And you know, I read that Group8 isn't sure of the ending they want to do. Six episodes left and they are unsure if they'll keep the manga ending or go off in a "new direction", due to the chemistry between all four actors stuck in the love square of DOOM. :/ WTF.

Exactly. It's odd to remember how much I adored BOF in the first half. It's like a completely different writer took over - the difference is insane.

I bet they know what ending they want, they are just trying to fan the interest for ratings' sake. I would faint from shock if love square ended up any way but manga canonically, however little sense it makes now in this version.
