Prosecutor Princess and Sunao No Narenakute

1. Viikii is being ridiculously slow and so I cannot watch my Prosecutor Princess eps which is driving me INSANE. I am solacing myself with Personal Taste but even though I genuinely like PT now, it is not the same! Need my Ma Hyeri fix now!

It's interesting because out of all the dramas I am watching this season, PP is the most heroine-centric for me. What I mean is I love other characters (In Woo! He is my drama guy of the spring season) and find them interesting (Prosecutor Yoon, Lady Prosecutor, Hyeri's family). But for me it is all about Hyeri emotionally - I am ridiculously emotionally invested in her. Part of the reason I adore In Woo so is that he hasn't yet done anything to hurt her or make her miserable despite whatever his hidden agenda is (I bet the moment he does I will want to stab him, even while slurping his angst). I mean, even when In Woo brought in evidence that cleared his client I got annoyed because it was a cherry on top of a very bad day for Ma Hyeri though In Woo didn't do anything wrong - of course he wants to clear his client. It's interesting because whatever his revenge plan, even before he fell for Hyeri (I looove the angst), it's clear it was never targeted at her. She may have been a tool to achieve it but she wasn't the goal. Btw, In Wooo, I rec you to watch Mawang - it's a warning masterpiece for smart lawyers with revenge schemes.

Still hate her frelling coworkers. Their needling about her weight - I want them all to die hideously. I don't think Hyeri has a healthy relationship with food to start with - she's two steps away from an eating disorder - and the frelling horrible jerks do not help. I spent the whole of ep 6 enraged.

2. After trying my hardest to stay away from watching the raws of Sunao Ni Narenakute ep 2, I caved. It's even better than ep 1!

Though a confession. Everyone on my flist is about Keisuke/Tsukiko but I confess (though I do like them and ship K/T), I am all about suicide girl/sextoy guy instead. Sorry, but they ping all my buttons. Every single one.



Also, though I know Seonsu will never get Tsukiko, I am glad he got a hug at least. I want him to be happy the most!

Aww boo! You're having problems with viikii? I just finished watching episode 8 and the buffering was pretty okay to me. Episodes 7 and 8 are so ridiculously good it's gonna make your shippy heart flutter so much. I really can't wait to hear you squee about it. Okay I'll stop now before I overhype it for you. :)

Anyway, I agree on PP being heroine-centric. It's so centered around the development of her character that it makes me root for her unconditionally. And re: coworkers, if I were HR I would have thrown that table around in rage! They're so frickin' insensitive! It's like how could they keep poking at her weak spot like they were making fun of her! It's just so mean! It's like WTF are you all doing! That's not helping at all you mean group of insensitive jerks!

Also, I was wondering why there's not a part of me that even feels ill against IW despite his shady intentions. Maybe it's because PSH is just so charming and inexplicably awwwdorable that keeps me from feeling iffy about his dark side but yeah maybe it's because he hasn't really done anything bad towards her, yet. Given that he might be doing all these good deeds for her for some ulterior motive or because he's using her as his pawn for something, all of it is still just a part of a plan which he can drop anytime anyway (which part of my shippy heart hopes for). Maybe he'd fall hard for her and in the end he'd just drop all his revenge plan all for his love for her. But, no, I highly doubt it would turn out that way. So yeah, I can't wait for him to get all conflicted about this later on and angst it all out (on a obligatory shower scene pls :))!!!

LOL I loved that bit when he brought forward a new witness to win his case to add to the mishaps of the worst day of her life! I loved how he looked so guilty and felt so bad when Jenny finally told him that HR was particularly having a hard time that day because of all the past demons that had resurfaced in her office! He's so in wub. And he is so screwed!!!

I am SO into PP. I took a break from kdramas for quite awhile, but there are so many good things this season that I couldn't stay away, and PP is right at the top of my list.

I totally hear you with the Hyeri love, particularly now given the backstory about her weight - it explains SO much of her behaviour, why she is so invested in fashion and always looking good, why her work-related priorities are so skewed... she spent a lot of time as an outcast, focusing on her studies and being pushed to succeed in school, that she became unhealthy and had to deal with being an outcast because of her looks AND her intelligence... it's almost as if she's regaining some lost years, by being frivolous and fashion-forward.

I am SO in love with In Woo... he is so clearly in love with her, and whatever his ulterior motives are (SO mysterious!), I really believe that she isn't the victim of them, she's just some tool he needs to carry them out. Their fight at the airport? I loved it so much, and the way that it totally wasn't about her staying for him, but her coming around to that decision on her own, but he's the catalyst that helped her figure that out (by bringing up the little girl).

I also love how she's smitten with Prosecutor Yoon for doing the exact SAME THINGS that he's been doing all along (getting reporters to remove their stories about her, coming to her rescue during his hapless investigation, bringing her food when she's sad), but he's just been doing it in the background, and thus, getting no love for it. She'll soon realize - he is always the person she goes to for help.... And I love that everything that happens - she has no intention of hurting him when waxing on about her crush or asking for his help in things -- she has been perfectly clear about who she likes, and he's been perfectly clear about his feelings... it's all so good, and I can't wait for more!

PP is wonderful - and of course she'll want to ahve fun now and dress up and enjoy male attention - she never had it when she was younger.

I adore In Woo with his sharp tongue and sharper wits and hidden motives and crazy chemistry. And I loved that she didn't stay because of him or her crush on Prosecutor Yoon but to help that little girl.

she has been perfectly clear about who she likes, and he's been perfectly clear about his feelings... it's all so good, and I can't wait for more

I can't wait until the cat is out of the bag about IW's motives. How will she react?

I take a while to warm up to pairings so while I dig both chemistries in SNN I don't necessarily ship anything hardcore yet. I like to see how things pan out, especially as the drama isn't romance-focused per se but more inter-personal drama.

K/T seems to have more backstory - they obviously dug each other and connected just over the internet, while Hikaru and errr can only remember his screen name, Linda, only just met and are a little new to each other, so it's interesting to see how they bond now.

I want subs for ep 2. :(

I'm not liking the Twitter drama but the only part that I did like/found interesting was suicide girl/sextoy guy's relationship. I think their relationship will be really sweet if done well (which I really hope it will).

ME TOO! I don't know why but he's making my gaydar ping. They do sort of remind me of a darker/angstier (?) version of Taku & Haruka from this manga Cherish and I loved their story. I was really hoping the editor who's blackmailing him would be a man.

I think I could totally see that - maybe that's why he and Hikaru didn't have anything happen in the hotel. I am all for them becoming a cute family then - her baby can have a Daddy and he can have a family who'd be fine with him having 'friends' - definitely like Love Shuffle :)

Hyeri's coworkers. I kept hoping Hyeri would put out an eye or two with her heels. Seriously, the only person to consistently treat her well and be sensitive to her needs (and not super-sensitive but the way any feeling person would be) is In Woo and who knows what his sexy sexy motives are.

Yes, they are so different but both of them work for me so well. With adding Sunao, I'll be dropping Cinderella Unni for the moment - all that misery is best in concentrated bites.

Btw, I stuck with Personal Taste and after some awful eps (ep 3 was a disaster of epic proportions) it does get decent.

yeah, I heard that. I've actually seen the first 2 eps now and I think I may have skipped forward and watched ep 4 or 5? and you're right, it does get a lot more endearing. I don't know though, I keep asking myself if it's really worth it to invest in a drama which I somewhat enjoy while watching but forget immediately afterward. Especially with so many other good dramas out there. *ambivalent*

I still haven't watched episode one with subs and haven't even looked at episode two. But, from your pictures and write ups - I want suicide girl (peach)/sextoy guy(Linda) too. Though, 'Linda' seems hot for Keisuke, or at least has an attraction. That kind of makes me sad because I really wanted some Hikaru/Kaoru love.

Will this turn into a drama like where everyone's in love with the main couple (Keisuke/Tsukiko), they want to be together, but can't for all sorts of crazy reasons? If so, I'll skip it. Keep me informed!

Tamayama Tetsuji is really pretty BUT these two are around my age (Shougo Sakamoto is still kinda young, though)

I went OMG when they were on screen together cuz these two have amazing screen presence -I totaly pictured them in a yaoi movie -which may not be such an impossible thing cuz Nakamura Yuichi already starred in Taiikukan Baby and Shougo Sakamoto is a member of Tenimyu (the Prince of Tennis musical) cast- most of the former and current cast members were in some yaoi movie. YAY!!!!
